5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: Works really great, upload speed is good, no problems with connection, signal is very good for the distance from my router

Cons: Lightweight and gets knocked over easily, but not a big issue

1 out of 5 eggsFlaky at best

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN822N Wireless N300 High Gain USB Adapter, 300Mbps, Dual 3dBi External Antennas, w/WPS Button, IEEE 802.1b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: Inexpensive.
Fast if good line-of-sight to base station.
Decently long USB cable

Cons: Constantly drops. Drivers show it connected, but no traffic pases. unplug/replug fixes issue.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my kids' computer in the dining room hoping that I wouldn't have to drop an ethernet jack down the wall. Now it's constantly "dad, there's no wifi!" There's another computer in the kitchen using another brand of USB wifi adapter that's been absolutely rock solid. I should have bought another one of those (even though it's only N150)

1 out of 5 eggsWorked well, for a short while...

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN822N Wireless N300 High Gain USB Adapter, 300Mbps, Dual 3dBi External Antennas, w/WPS Button, IEEE 802.1b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: - easy to set up initially
- fast signal when working

Cons: - stopped working

Other Thoughts: After 3 weeks of working well, it inexplicably stopped picking up all networks. The problem is not related to firewall/antivirus/driver issues.

TP-link support did not provide me with very much help (after I told them I turned off my windows firewall service and reinstalled drivers, they asked me to uninstall windows firewall completely -- what?).

4 out of 5 eggsCheap and Cheerful.

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN822N Wireless N300 High Gain USB Adapter, 300Mbps, Dual 3dBi External Antennas, w/WPS Button, IEEE 802.1b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: - Omnidirectional, Dual Band. and Adjustable.
- Good down, up speeds and low latency.
- Small, looks great. small enough to conformably attach to my side panel.
-USB, meaning easy transfer from PC to PC.
-One of the cheapest Dual Band 300Mbps Wireless Adapters on Newegg.

Cons: -Drivers! Can sometimes take multiple installs and uninstalls to get working properly on Windows 7 - 64 Bit. They also flat out don't work if you have multiple TP-Link wireless adapter drivers, even if they are different models.
- Doesn't use 5Ghz
- The button on the Adapter seems functionally useless. When I press it literally nothing happens.( And yes, I had to dig pretty deep for that small potato. Thanks for asking)

Other Thoughts: Overall the wireless adapter is great value, I use it for gaming, video streaming and surfing the web. It fits my needs and my partner's perfectly. This is actually the second one I've bought as I bought one for my own build a while back. Hasn't failed me yet.

5 out of 5 eggsTP-LINK TL-WN822N

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN822N Wireless N300 High Gain USB Adapter, 300Mbps, Dual 3dBi External Antennas, w/WPS Button, IEEE 802.1b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: - hooks at 300Mbps, and stays there
- driver/util disk included
- rubber feet
- usb cable
- 14.99 on sale

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: this is installed on a midtower fileserver on home network. going from 54Mbps to this 300Mbps does make quite a difference. transfer speed to tablets is about five times faster.
it does look like an iDog or iRabbit with a green blinking nose.
good purchase!

5 out of 5 eggsTP-Link=Wabbit Season

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN822N Wireless N300 High Gain USB Adapter, 300Mbps, Dual 3dBi External Antennas, w/WPS Button, IEEE 802.1b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: I've installed a lot of these when I did cable/dsl for a contractor. The range on this is incredible. I live on a farm and can pick up my neighbor's signal a mile away.

NewEgg reviews show a lot of negativity but the "*.* sight" is all positive. I hope I can sway people to be open minded as well as well-researched. I have had no problems and neither have my friends who all recommended this to me.

Cons: The rabbit ears look so cute I was forced to glue googly-eyes to it and name it Usagi-San.

1 out of 5 eggsRandomly Drops Connection (DO NOT BUY)

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN822N Wireless N300 High Gain USB Adapter, 300Mbps, Dual 3dBi External Antennas, w/WPS Button, IEEE 802.1b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: Cheap, Plug n Play (with Windows 8.1)

Cons: Frequent connectivity drops. In Windows 8.1 every several minutes you must click the "wireless" connection icon in the bottom right corner of the screen, and then click "troubleshoot" to get the TP-LINK to reconnect. It simply disconnects at random every few minutes. There is no resolution for this issue, from the internet or TP-LINK. Also judging by the forums, this issue has been going on for well over a year at this point with no resolution.

DO NOT BUY.

Other Thoughts: Just send your money elsewhere if you're running Windows 8.1

1 out of 5 eggsAwful wireless adapter

This review is from: TP-LINK TL-WN822N Wireless N300 High Gain USB Adapter, 300Mbps, Dual 3dBi External Antennas, w/WPS Button, IEEE 802.1b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

Pros: Lasted about a month
high speed when it decides to work

Cons: Drops constantly
TP_Link has awful drivers which haven't seemed to help a bit.

Other Thoughts: Get a cheap internal wireless card for your desktop if this is what it is for. This one is not worth its $27.99 price tag
