- MSI recovery is buggy and slow.
- Didn't have enough time to use it to see any other erros

Other Thoughts: Was getting a "whea uncorrectable error" after some light browsing...didn't even try to game on it yet. Tried the online support and they took 8 days just to tell me to reformat and if that didn't work RMA it. This is super frustrating considering I've done nothing but praise MSI and have waited years to get one of their products...I might amend this review when I get my fixed laptop back but as of right now it is not a great purchase

Pros: - Graphics Card
- Processor

Cons: - Wish there was a latch to hold the screen closed when the laptop is closed up

Other Thoughts: I would definitely recommend this laptop and other MSI products to friends/family.

Pros: It's pretty light (under 5 lbs); nice keyboard, graphics, memory and CPU.

Cons: Battery and boot up timings are aweful. I barely get two hours on it just surfing web + online streaming. Boot up takes about 2-4 minutes to startup.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't recommend this laptop because of battery life + price.

Pros: There are cool lights on the keyboard.

Cons: A month after buying the laptop some pixels in the screen died. The computer crashes often, has multiple hardware and software issues. The speakers broke, then the webcam. Now it's stopped playing videos. It can't run any demanding games released in the last two years and has horrible battery life. Once multiple hardware and software issues became impossible to ignore I contacted new egg who told me because I didn't have the box I couldn't return the obviously defective product. They directed me to MSI, who don't have any humans reachable at any time. You can call any number you want and won't reach anyone. After hours of trying to reach someone I got an auto-response email telling me to send in the laptop for repair. I'm positive if I send it in they'll send it back after only fix one of the issues with the computer, all while I wait at home without a computer to run my business. Please do not buy this computer. Seriously, it's a horrible gaming computer anyways. You can't play Rust, Ark, anything. Do not buy this computer. Buy any other one and save the headache.

Pros: Nice color and it feels nice. Satisfied? Maybe....not yet. Still doing some testing.

Cons: Low battery life, I was surprised at only 3 hrs. Starting the laptop takes a little longer than i thought it would. Keep your power cord near you at all times! Planning to return laptop that I just received? Maybe, that'll save me $300 for another laptop that will work just as good as this one that I had my eye on.

Pros: Nothing wrong except the cons.

Cons: Failed to start up after Windows update. It happened to me twice already. And for the second time, I couldn't fix it even I restored it to the recovery point. Well, I will try to reset it tmr. If it doesn't work, I'll slap my face for buying this laptop.

Pros: -this laptop was 799 on sale
- great laptop for medium gaming on a student budget
-light up multi-color keyboard
- plenty of space on harddrive
-not too heavy
- i looked on the internet and called in myself an confirmed that changing hte memory or harddrives does not void your warranty. This is a huge plus for me as i plan to up the memory and get a solid state drive
- battery is not externally accessible.
-AWESOME laptop for streaming wiht built in software that does not cause lag in games (from my personal experience)
- nice trackapd

Cons: -battery life! you'll get approx 1 or 2 hours if your doing basic schoolwork
-light transitions on keyboard are clunky looking, the fades in between colors do not look smooth
- for soem reason they removed the windows key from the right side of the key board, not sure why, but it is annoying and will take oem getting used to
-two simple buttons above keyboard to change key

Other Thoughts: great laptop for the price I paid, would have liked to see better battery life or external battery

Pros: Looks nice....newegg's return policy is what they said it would be, but it's not fast when you us a credit card.

Cons: I was really looking forward to getting this and sadly disappointed. I have returned it and ordered something else. The set up was difficult and there is no way to update the video card driver without letting windows fully set up and update. The updates took several attempts...even when sitting next to the wireless router. The battery life is horrible!! 45 minutes of watching a movie and it is dead!!

Pros: Decent specs on the box I guess.

Cons: This is by far the worst trackpad I've ever used on a laptop, and I've owned about 20 different computers, the texture of the surface is horrible, it handles multi touch so poorly it's laughable. Every laptop in the $200-$300 range I've used has handled mulit touch better than this one, and this cost more than 3 time that! It also isn't consistent in registering clicks on the trackpad itself, the physical buttons seem to be fine although annoyingly loud.

They keyboard is junk as well, as I'm typing this review I'm cringing every time I use the backspace key because it makes a horrible squeaking sound, it doesn't press as easily either.

Oh also this computer ships with Norton antivirus and if you just go into windows program management and remove it you won't be able to boot into Windows and will have to do a full re-install.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend this product to people

Pros: The awesome keyboard, except for the squeaky backspace button
Most laptops don't have a Caps Lock and Num Lock light indicator anymore, and I appreciate that MSI stuck to implementing those light indicators.
Most laptops also don't have a headphone and microphone audio jack, again, appreciate that MSI stuck with both rather than making you buy an adapter.
It somewhat charges fast, but that doesn't really matter (see cons)

Cons: A lot.
The fans are way too loud, especially when you enable the fans cooler boost technology. When enabled, you probably don't want to be around a bunch of people because they'll most likely look at you in annoyance.
The track-pad's left and right click buttons are loud for no reason.
Although it is a gaming laptop, if you expect to use it for school, you might as well not buy it. I had 96% battery and after an hour long class, it went down to 26%...like, really?? AND, I was on ECO mode and battery saving was turned on as well. That's just absurd and laughable.
After a full charge, my battery usually drops down about 2% within a minute. It must be a faulty battery or something because that's insane for any laptop..

Other Thoughts: With MSI being such a huge company and for the price being near $1,000, I expected a lot more out of this laptop.
I understand that it is a gaming laptop, but I've owned laptops from Acer and Asus that lasted twice as long, while gaming or using it for school purposes.
I've had MSI products before and never seemed to have a problem with it, but I am very disappointed in this one.
Definitely would not recommend it.
Not for gaming (its sole purpose), NOR anything else. If you do buy an MSI Laptop, they definitely want you to spend more in order to be pleased.
