3 out of 5 eggsGPU Beware

Pros: It's my 3rd Dell as I love their products.

It's my first time buying refurbished as I can't afford brand new Dell laptops.

Dell will always be a 5 star laptop and docking the 2 stars is not on Dell.

Cons: The GPU is a ticking time bomb as I don't recommend you buying any of the Dell Latitude series that don't tell what the onboard graphics is.

You need to be sure that you have onboard Intel graphics. I got Nvidia graphics which was involved in class action suit in 2009 for "defective" GPUs, mine was a little melted.

I did change the board out and got a new heat sink and it's working right now, but I stripped a screw to the hard drive because the screws weren't finger tight. I found a few more to be overly tightened that I had to be careful with.

I have taken a handful Dell laptops and this was a nightmare. I had to learn how to not a strip a screw that doesn't do the finger tight rule.

Other Thoughts: I am very pleased with the Dell Latitude and should've done research first which won't happen again.

Even if I knew of the problem I still would've got the Dell Latitude, I love it. I just would've found with Intel Graphics onboard. I think in these circumstances that the seller should list the GPU. I found only one seller who did.

Even though I didn't research, potential customers should be aware (at least GPU Manufacturer) and technicians need to please use the finger tight rule.

Pros: Shipped quickly, good size, nice keyboard

Cons: Only got the laptop a little over two months ago and it will no longer power up. Cannot even access the bios. Very disappointed...
