5 out of 5 eggsBest Bag EVER!

Pros: Spacious! Well-made! Comfortable!

I bought this bag for a trip, and couldn't have beaten the price, as NewEgg had it a) on sale, and b) with a coupon code, so I got it for <$30. Outstanding value, especially considering that I was going to spen d that much on a lower-quality bag.

Cons: It didn't actually come with a laptop? I'm at a loss on this one. Not really a point worth docking a star for, but the clue isn't quite as "bright" as it appears in the picture. I like the "actual" color better anyway - so why did I even bother mentioning it?

Other Thoughts: My company gave me a hand-bag style laptop case, but I vastly prefer to have a backpack. This more than adequately fit the bill, and I would definitely buy this again.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Backpack

Pros: I just bought this one , I have another one at least a year old still in perfect shape and I paid almost twice this price. When they had em on sale for 39 I had to snag that deal. Excellent quality. Very rugged. The handle on top is built to last, you don't have to worry about grabbin it and it ripping off fully loaded up. This one has a few more features, padding for your lower back, clips to tighten up smaller loads, A very cool design.

Cons: The only problem is it has so many compartments I can't keep track of where the heck i put everything!!! Heheh

Other Thoughts: All you who skipped the sale should have jumped on it! For $39 and free ship, hey you can not find a better deal or product for that anywhere!

5 out of 5 eggsONLY ONE PROBLEM

Pros: I loved this backpack. It lasted forever, and even protected my laptop from being run over by a car! (long story) Sadly that incident ripped it in a few places.

Pockets are perfect, lots of room. Thumb loops for rapid adjustment.

Comfy for cycling to work, and hiking too.

Cons: Doesn't come in bigger sizes! I wanted this EXACT Laptop placed in an Expandomatic3000 to grow it just enough to fit 17" laptops. That would be my IDEAL backpack! Instead I had to switch brands... :(

Other Thoughts: For a replacement, I had to go w/ a Targus, but the photos misled me to believing it had a similar Kangaroo setup.
I'm going to be modding the heck out of my new bag.

I seriously salvaged parts from this backpack from which to sew onto the Targus backpack.

I miss this bag... but it died a valiant death protecting my laptop to the end.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome backpack

Pros: Fits two gallons of milk in main compartment with room for more
Durable, handles and straps haven't come loose or shown signs of wear in over a year
Plastic quick-snaps are made of good plastic, they never broke either

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I had one of these bags in Red. It was stolen, but I enjoyed it for at least 2 years.
I bought this one for a friend, as they needed one. This time it was in Blue. This bag which has been around for a while is solid and well built. I'd get another too.

3 out of 5 eggsGood quality, but false advertizing (size)

Pros: Great backpack, lots of pockets for anything you could need.

Cons: The pocket for the actual laptop is not as big as it claims. This was clearly a deal-breaker for me. I bought a backpack, claiming to hold a 16" laptop, and my new 15.5" laptop wouldn't fit in it. This was really the only con, but false advertising left me out $10 or so on the RMA, plus the hassle.

Other Thoughts: I ended up ordering Swissgear PEGASUS 17" GA-7306-06F00 Laptop Computer Backpack shortly thereafter, and at least that case could fit my 15.5" laptop. You can find it on NewEgg at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834997047.

1 out of 5 eggs15.4"s of outdated designs.

Pros: Got here early and in time for school.

Cons: Apparently whoever designed this for a 15.4" laptop doesn't understand that 15.4" screens are widescreen. my MSI gx620 sticks out of the top of the bag a good 3 inches. As another reviewer stated if they had lowered the pocket 2 inches even though it doesn't fit completely in the laptop pocket it would still atleast fit in the back.

Other Thoughts: Not returning it because I need a bag tomorrow and I already had to order another bag do to newegg having stock and back order issues. So I guess I'll have to order a new bag if I want to carry my laptop around at school.. Wenger really needs to redesign this bag to fit modern laptops, instead of the stoneage 15.4" laptops this bag was designed around.

5 out of 5 eggsFollow-up to my previous review "Very Good Bag"

Pros: I've now owned this bag for over 15 months and I can better attest to its durability, since I've given it one hell of a lengthy stress test: for most of those months, I lugged the same T61, usually two 1000+ page science textbooks, a notebook, the charger, and tons of other utensils and trinkets every weekday (probably upwards of 30-35 lbs). In the bottom corners of the bag, I have spotted only one strand of loose stitching, and considering my record, that's pretty good. At that spot, it doesn't pull apart at all-- it's merely superficial (you'd really have to look, as I did, to find it).

This thing has been all over the state, through every weather condition (surprisingly weather resistent!), and can even withstand the force of carrying all the above stuff with only one strap over a shoulder.

All the other points in my other review remain true.

Cons: This bag is designed to remain upright so long as the two side pockets are zipped up. Perhaps the only thing to have worn out a bit are these two pockets, as they now fold under themselves from wear. Personally, I could care less if my bag doesn't remain poised in an upright position when I place it down. So long as there are rigid surfaces in the main pocket (hardcover books, clipboards, binders, etc.), it will stay up.

Other Thoughts: It turns out the most useful part of the backpack has been the pouch between the main pocket and the front zipper pocket; it's a perfect spot for an umbrella, water bottle, whatever else you're tossing in at the last moment as you're running out the door.

Whatever you're thinking up, this bag can take it. I don't regret this purchase for a moment. After going through tons of Jansport and Eastpak bags or whatever brands I used in HS, this one has taken the normal abuse of a student much better than all of the above.

4 out of 5 eggsGood pack, but some peaves

Pros: comfortable w/ lots of padding, lots of room, many pockets, adjusts great, stands upright (for the most part), love the reinforced handle, durable (for the most part - see cons), works with a Dell XPS M1530 with an extra laptop sleeve in the pocket (fits somewhat tight though).

Cons: Stitching is already coming loose on the shoulder strap, widescreen laptops may have difficulties fitting in the pocket, bulky at times, sometimes it doesn't stand up like it should because of too much weight in the front, but you can only expect so much.

Other Thoughts: I'm probably going to return this to newegg for a replacement because of the stitching problem, I figure getting a replacement from newegg will be much quicker than the 2 week turn around for warranty repairs from Wenger.
