1 out of 5 eggsI thought Fellows was a good brand..

Pros: Made by Fellows... Thought this was good enough..

Cons: Used it when it first arrived to get rid of paper clutter. Turned it on 6 months later to get rid of new clutter and it jammed. Not just any jam though. Opened it up and found the blades eating one another and one sticking out with a sharp edge. Not sure what I could have done to cause it. Seems one side the whole row of blades are out of alignment too.

Other Thoughts: I hesitated to buy a shredder over that of simply composting paper waste organically. Thought this well known brand and model with jam prevention would allow for quicker composting by micro shredding office paper waste. Yet for over $200 and for it to break so fast, it's simply no where near economical.

5 out of 5 eggsreally shreds!

Pros: works really nice, has a little bucket for the CD/DVD/credit card shredder and microshredding saves quite a bit of space.

Cons: Failed to mention that the credit card/DVD shredder is strip shred not microcut.

1 out of 5 eggsFlimsy and overheats quickly

Pros: Nice, small cut

Cons: Poorly packaged - came with bin wedged and skewed so it would not open easily. Very light weight. Overheated in 5 minutes of feeding grocery receipts one at a time.

1 out of 5 eggsTime will tell

Pros: great specs

Cons: Shredder arrived DOA at no fault of Newegg. Bin safety was broken so unit would not power up. Package and factory packing materials were intact, but there were loose bits of plastic inside the bin. Appears that it left the factory this way.

Other Thoughts: Newegg was fast to issue RMA. Unit was on it's way back within 2 hours of it being delivered to me. Looking forward to a working new unit.

5 out of 5 eggsBulldog of a "Micro" Shredder

Pros: Quite. Quick. Hungry. Ours micro-shredded up to 16 pages at a time without any problems. That's more then double what it states it will shred(at 7 pages)
We have yet to get any warnings about it getting overheated or used to much, and we shredded 10 years worth of old Corp paperwork, that was taking up two full sized filing cabinets! Approx 5,000+ pages
and it never faltered.

It also shreds, important DATA CD/DVD's into small strips. there is no way anyone is getting info off of the leftovers No worries about identity theft for SOHO sized businesses.

Cons: None it eats everyting we've tossed into it!

Other Thoughts: On that big cleanup job(in the pros section, we only had to empty the box 2 or 3 times. The paper is shredded so small, that it gets packed densely in the basket.
Oh, and don't worry about pulling paper clips or staples out, as it eats those as well. Newegg had the best price at $199, and it was here the next day(ordered at 6PM monday, here tuesday by 3PM.

We recommended this to 3 others who have gladly bougt one, after seeing what ours did, to everything, we tossed in, including one dual shred of both a DVD and the clear plastic disc topper, I didn't see.

5 out of 5 eggsPricey, but worth the money

Pros: Quite, shreds paperwork to a pulp. Shreds CDs along with credit cards.

Cons: Price!! Fellows could work on making the shredder for the cds and credit cards better than the old fashion strip cut.

Other Thoughts: Your paying for the name and quality. Shred well over 100 documents a day, never overheats. Handles everything that I toss into it.

5 out of 5 eggsI concur

Pros: Like the other reviews, this thing is unbelievably quiet. The shredded paper comes out like grafiti. Will take about 16 sheets of paper at a time before choking.

Cons: Changing bags could be a little neater, but I think that is normal to paper shredders.

Other Thoughts: Recommended it to two other friends.

5 out of 5 eggsquiet, fast

Pros: Very quiet, reasonably fast. Makes very small shreds which means you get a lot more paper in the basket as it compacts much better than many other shredders

Cons: none for me

Other Thoughts: This was a very nice upgrade for me from an older cheaper shredder that was noisy and had to be emptied all the time.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Shredder

Pros: Pretty quiet for a shredder! It is also pretty rugged. I have it stashed away in the corner and my girlfriend occasionally stacks things on top of it such as her books or several boxes. This shredder has no problem shredding three to five sheets of paper at a time. I also shred junk mail without opening it - although sometimes doing this will cause it to stop but if you press the backwards shred and forward shred buttons a few times it will get through. I've also put stickers, tape and Rx labels through with no problems.

Cons: On the unit I received I have to turn off the 'safe sense' feature because when papers or envelopes touch the sides of the shredding slot, it thinks someone's hands are too close to the shredding mechanism. However, I bought one of these for my dad as well and he says he does not have the same problem.

Other Thoughts: This shredder is well worth the money. It is quiet and it shreds your valuable information into very very small pieces.

5 out of 5 eggsVery quiet

Pros: MUCH quieter than my previous $20 strip cutter.

Cons: Some of the shredded paper ends up in the upper CD shred tray making it harder to separate.

Other Thoughts: Would definitely recommend the quiet models.
