Other Thoughts: The first one I received was dead on arrival. After the flower logo appeared, it would pause indefinitely on a "Refreshing your media" screen. I RMA'd it and sent it back.

Now I have had the second one for 3 days and it won't boot. It just sits indefinitely on the flower logo.

Hidden under the clip is "Made in China." You get what you pay for. Caveat emptor.

Pros: small, lightweight. The unit is so lightweight, you could probably drop this 20 feet onto pavement with only cosmetic damage. Clip keeps player snug on pocket while at the gym. Headphones arent too bad, just make sure you adjust equalizer settings to the music you listen too, it will instantly make the sound more clear. There are lots of things you can tweak in the settings. Picture is large enough and good enough quality to see what album you are listening to. User interface is self explanatory, no need to read directions. This is the best value mp3 player I know of. Sure, there may be better players, but at more than double the cost.

Cons: Battery life is more like 10 hours, but this is an estimate, I havent actually timed it. The clip is not removeable, but that isnt a big deal.

Other Thoughts: Most of the "one star" reviews claim that it stopped working, or it wouldnt turn on, etc. after they charged it the first time or soon after purchasing it. This is because those people arent able to google things like "my clip zip wont turn on". This problem happened to me. I googled the problem. Answer: Simply press power button in for 30 seconds, release power button, and then press power button again in the normal power on fashion. That should fix the problem. This happened because I turned my computer off while I was charging the mp3 player. I wont do that again. SO, IGNORE A LOT OF THOSE 1-STAR REVIEWS!

Pros: Small, works, sounds OK

Cons: Just like Creative, Sandisk drops support quickly. As new versions of OS's come out they don't update their driver software. The software always reports the battery is critically low in Windows 7. If you look up the problem it is blamed on Microsoft for not updating support for the device in Windows 7. Why is MS responsible for updating the drivers for Sandisk's devices??? Vista is the latest software written for it at Sandisk. I guess this is the way they sell new models. It will last but hang on to your old computers so you can still use it.

Pros: small, compact, so easy to add and remove files

Cons: not water proof, and will not survive falling from your cycle onto the hwy at high amounts of speed

Other Thoughts: i bought a sansdisk clip a few years ago not expecting much. man was a wrong. i still have my first one before you could add extra storage. i strap them to my motorcycle and plug them into my speakers and crank it up. i have since bought ones for my 2 nephews 3 nieces a few for the wife ( she keeps losing them ). i will never buy an eyepad why spend 4 to 5 times as much for the same if not better product

Pros: Good sound. Good user interface.

Cons: Only worked for two weeks. No longer turns on. Will not charge when connected to any computer or a USB wall charger. Have to waste money sending it back to Newegg.

Pros: There are no pros to a device that died within the first hour of ownership.

Cons: The first one I bought lasted for almost three months. I thought that I had burned it up by using a car charger that out to much current. This time, I used the included USB power adapter and my computer to charge it right out of the plastic. I came back to it shutdown, and it won't power back on. WTH!

Pros: Media slot up to 32gb. I use 16gb which carries my entire mp3 collection

Pros: This is my second unit. My wife uses the SansaClip. They work well, and are much more inexpensive than an Ipod Touch.
Easy to load music via PC USB. Good battery life.

Cons: First unit failed. It would play for 5 mins and freeze. Tech support was good and had me install latest microcode, but it still froze. Luckily, it was in the first 30 days and Newegg was excellent about replacing it via RMA.

Other Thoughts: Deducting for this failure, but only 1 due to good support all round.

Pros: i waited months for a price break on this, and newegg didn't disappoint with a black friday 50% off price.

i own a featureless waterproof mp3 player for swim/outdoors AND a separate AM/FM/TV clip radio player AND a digital camera that can work as an audio recorder. but I really wanted something with all these features and more, so this clip zip fit my needs perfectly in a tiny rechargeable package for a pittance.

something as simple as being able to completely delete a mp3 file was important to me, as i often dump stuff in my music folder, to later listen through to decide if i want to keep it or not. i leave a core playlist of about 500 songs on the built in player.

i then use additional microSD cards when i want to listen to audio books (which i don't keep after i hear them once) and for recording audio such as while attending a lecture. this way i don't have to worry that my build in memory area of music files gets filled up.

Cons: no screen skin choices? and i could not get the song art to display (it's off by default) - maybe rockbox to the rescue? headphones are junk, but nobody really buys such a discounted device expecting good buds. I'm using JLab JBud J5's i got during last year's Black Friday... $20.

Other Thoughts: update the firmware and see if you like the build in software interface before trying rockbox. i was so pleased with the default system, that i didn't bother with rockbox. the default software has ten equalizer presets which offer ample tone control for my tastes, while rockbox has what appears to be a 10 band equalizer which again, i doubt i'll miss. i find myself adjusting tone the preset when moving from top40 to instrumental to voice only audio books, and the original sansa menu system is easy enough to navigate for this.

Pros: If you buy a music player just for music and want to use it in your car, when you work out or just relaxing on the couch, this is for you!
Great battery life!

Cons: Slow to load high quality music files.
