RIP - Sansa Clip Zip ):
Pros: Small Size, Nice Sound, Intuative Controls.. Wife was very happy with it until...See Cons:
Cons: Seems to have a very short life span. This is the 2nd unit in 5 months to die for no apparent reason. The 1st unit was RMA'd back to New Egg and exchanged for a replacement after it had stopped work 3 days after x-mas as it was a gift to my wife. Now the 2nd unit has died and would seem to have the same issue. Plugged it in to a usb port to charge and it is now dead.

Not as good as the old one
Pros: Still a good player, cheap, nice battery life, micro USB port is the same as my phone and kindle so they all match.
Cons: Low quality screen, NO EQUALIZER, worse battery life, slightly larger than the old one, worse build quality than the old one
Other Thoughts: All things considered, this is really not as nice or professional a player as the old one. The old one had a much better overall feel, a nicer looking oled screen, and included an equalizer. It's still a really good player it's just I'd buy the old Clip+ instead of this any day.

Pros: Do not need to subscribe to any music service.
Cons: Can ignore promotional material that comes with it wanting a subscription.
Other Thoughts: I wanted to replace another player for the gym, getting fed up with proprietary formats and software that organizes your collections badly. If like me, you also are getting annoyed at companies selling stuff so they can just entice you into another subscription service, this may be the player for you.
