5 out of 5 eggsNeed Bigger Stick to Fight Siblings

Pros: Cheap during black friday, easy to use and did exactly what i needed it to do. able to charge my phone with my usb cord and plug in the headphone plug into output port in phone. at the same time get music set up on the other device like ipod touch and switch devices.

Cons: Could have used a bigger stick to fight off my siblings cuz they all want to use it.

Other Thoughts: fun to use, next to no static but you get static even with fm radio transition from the radio station but if you want it perfect get a deck player with a input/aux plug.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks OK

Pros: Works OK. I liked the feature of the separate audio and charger inputs. It's small and compact.

Cons: Some interference when broadcasting my Ipod to the radio. It might be my truck or the local fm broadcasts, but this is my only real complaint. I guess the signal is a little weak.

1 out of 5 eggshorrible muffled sound

Pros: newegg was lenient on the return policy

Cons: I usually don't return stuff this cheap but this item was a complete ripoff. It hissed before even tuning to the station. Once I reached the station I had to turn the volume all the way up to hear the horrible quality sound.

Other Thoughts: I have a monster cassette adapter for one of my vehicles that is cheaper than this and sounds incredible.

1 out of 5 eggsAwful

Pros: Nice design....

Cons: I thought only other drivers could give me road rage. I was wrong. This device is so cheaply made, and in so many respects. Sound quality wise: I'd say 50%+ of the time, I heard more static than I did music. The transmitter needs to be more powerful. The fact that all 4 frequencies were consecutive (88.3, .5, .7, and .9) didn't help, as I couldn't go to a higher frequency to avoid competing with a strong signal around that band. Also, the audio cable that came with this product was awful---there was a lot of crackling to begin with, and slowly but surely, the right channel pretty much didn't even work (its volume was about 25% of what the left channel was). This was only fixed if I held my iPod in my hand and pressed down on the audio cable, into the iPod (rest assured, I tested my iPod with several headphones---the problem WAS the cable). The cable's

Other Thoughts: I'm returning this product as soon as I post this review. I went the cheap route, but seriously, it's not worth it. If anything else, for the anger it causes you while you're driving. Worthless!!

2 out of 5 eggsBackground noise

Pros: It broadcasts music to a radio station so you can listen to and device with a standard audio minijack output in your car.

Cons: It's not as clear as the one I had before. There is a very faint hiss, and a high-pitched noise that sounds like a vaccuum cleaner running in the distance. High pitched droning noises give most people headaches. I tried three of the four available stations (the other one has a station broadcasting on it) and they all had the same results.

Other Thoughts: In order to charge and play your ipod, you need 2 cables hooked up between the transmitter and your ipod. Why couldn't they make it simple and use one cable to do both?

4 out of 5 eggsWorks for me

Pros: Works well enough; there is a slight hiss depending on the frequency and if the sound from your playback is very soft. Other than that I have no complaints

Cons: It does tend to get a little hot, which is a bit concerning but I don't use it all the time so I'm not too worried about it.

2 out of 5 eggsmacally FM Transmitter * Charger

Pros: Overall design and layout is not bad but the transmitter output and/or built in transmission antenna provides a very weak output signal.

Cons: Supplied audion input cable is very short.

FM transmitter very weak. Cannot use device in the intended vehicle. (Ford Ranger).

Other Thoughts: 4 FM Frequencies all in 88 MHz band; 88.1, 88.3, 88.5, and 88.7
