Does what it says it does
Pros: The standard map is good enough for me but you can buy the HD map for about $100US. 450t does map you where you are and you can watch as the line it prints on the screen moves with you. The map zoom in and out so I can get a good ref. to my car/trail head. Holds good signal strength which my old Garmin 101 didn't do.
Cons: The elevation is through the barometer pressure senor not the GPS. But I did find it very accurate when I climbed Mt. Washington in New Hampshire, it read dead on after 5 hours of climbing.
Other Thoughts: Over all I would say this is a great GPS for highly tech-O types. I download all my walks into a program on my computer to map out where, how long, altitude climb; etc. For the price you want to uses all the balls and whistles but you can also just buy the cheaper Garmin GPS that will do just as good if you don't need all gee-whiz stuff.
