Pros: E-ink screen. epub files supported. Books uploading is easy, just plug it in and copy them.

Cons: The e-ink screen is slow and battery life is poor comparing to nook simple touch or s0ny reader or amzon k1ndle.

I had two of them mine and my wife's. After about 11 months both screens stopped working properly: half of the screen shows what you expect and second half shows static black, so if you get one make sure you have extended warranty.

Other Thoughts: I would rate it higher if my two devices did not break almost at the same time.

Good storefront and also supports many third party book stores and google.

Cons: no touch screen means clicking around a virtual keypad to browse book store or enter wireless settings. E-ink are a bit slow to respond, so it takes literally 2 seconds to register each letter before you can move to the next. Frustrating doesn't even begin to describe typing and changing settings on this. My advice would be to buy and download books from your computer and transfer via usb or SD card.

The biggest con is that although it supports pdf, the screen is very small and with the touch screen, scrolling is difficult. I bought this thinking I could read computer books in PDF format on the train. It's nearly impossible and way to cumbersome. Perhaps if I had touch scroll it would be workable.

Also, performance is pretty slow and sometimes page turns lag. Seemed no worse than the kindle I tried, though.

Other Thoughts: I have a large color android tablet, but e-ink is so much more friendly on the eyes. Unfortunately most e-ink screens are very tiny. Sad there is not a larger touch screen e-ink display worth buying. I guess I will have to keep bringing a 5lb textbook on the commute until something better comes along.

I rated this 4 stars because I beleive it is a very solid e-reader for reading e-books, especially at the price point. It doesn't do anything else and it's not a tablet, but if you want a cheap but quality e-reader it doesn't get much better than this Kobo.
