3 out of 5 eggsGood, but not durable

Pros: Good Mic Quality: Was always working properly, sounded clear and gave me a false sense of satisfaction

Good Customer Support. Broke the first one after a month. (Mic went dead, this later happened again.) Maybe my pitbulll got to it though. But anyways I didn't even have to show a receipt, they sent a brand new one with all new cables. This one lasted a good 7 months.

Cons: Easily broken: Already had two. The first broke after a month. Mic dead, nothing to be done. Got a replacement from turtle beach. This one lasted half of year until it's slow ride to worthlessness. First having the left side breaking off, to completely being dead from the mic. The sound still works though...

Other Thoughts: Mixed feelings to this product. While it did have a good quality sound, it just didn't last the test of time.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat gaming headphones

Pros: Great sound quality both input and output. These headphones are probably some of the most clear available for PS3/PC. Always been a huge fan of TB and just upgraded from the P11's. Inline amp is ridiculously good. Able to hear game and music at the same time. Great buy for new and old gamers alike.

Cons: Problem with turtle beach has always been cable length. Not a reason to knock it down an egg though.

Other Thoughts: Must buy for next-gen gaming.

1 out of 5 eggsBuilt out old hair clips

Pros: Solid cable work, decent aesthetics, nice amp and feature set.

Cons: Build quality is miserable, snaps in the same place every time, currently on my third pair.

5 out of 5 eggsTBPX 22

Pros: Wowzerz .. got these on a HT Omega Claro 2 and they are rocking my socks off.
With dolby on in games i am easily positioning other players. Very 3D.. even in BO2.
Mic quality is second to none.

Cons: May not be for you if you have a larger head ,, kinda tight but i'm sure after breaking in they'll be perfect.

Other Thoughts: TB has been plagued with alot of breakage .. i hope these don't break.

5 out of 5 eggsOh wow, nice nice nice

Pros: My first nice set of headphones like this. Freaking awesome man. The base is just right and the cord is long as well. I just played Battlefield 4 and the gun sounds were intense!!

Colors are nice too. Overall 5 eggs man.

Cons: The controller is nice, but it does kinda way the headphones down a bit, need to prop the controller up on top of my leg or another object otherwise down the headphones a bit. It does wear on your ears only after about 8 hours of constant wear, just adjust and keep plowing through gamers. Its worth it!

Other Thoughts: I am going to buy a second pair, one for PC and another for my PS3/PS4 (when it comes out)

2 out of 5 eggsPX22, aka: Skull Crusher

Pros: Cabling seems well constructed, Good connectivity and volume control options.

Cons: Skull crushing pressure against my head, pretty sure it wants to kill me.

Poor audio quality in the higher ranges, it's hard to explain but the audio just sounds incomplete.

Other Thoughts: There is a 2.5mm audio input, however the mic is usb only... my computer bluescreened twice while trying to install the drivers. It seems to be working now, however there still is an unknown device present.

Generally its a good idea to stick to a good soundcard and 2.5mm cables for your headset. I can understand the desire for usb if you have a poor soundcard, what I cannot understand is a headset that does half of both, very odd.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Perfect Storm

Pros: COMFORT
- Large and Comfortable wrap around ear pads.
- Breathable fabric, less sweating or non at all depending on the user.
- Cushioned top piece.
- Ear pads touch head in all locations, no gaps.

SOUND over 3.5mm Jack
- Excellent crisp, load, Bass, Treble, etc..
- Bass and Treble adjusters work very well, small adjustments make a big difference.
- Separate controls for volume.

SOUND over USB
- Clear

SOUND over Cell Phone jack.
- You control this channel mostly on your phone's audio settings.
- Listening to music is the clearest with the least distortion on this channel so far. (Please note any distortion I have heard on this headset as been very very minor, but it does occur from time to time, and this channels seems to handle loud music the best. This may just be my cell phone.)
- Nice and clean.
- Clearest phone call I have ever made with a headset.
- Sound is so crisp you might think someone is slicing your ear drums up with a knife.

Microphone - on Xbox
- It is fine, the low quality of xbox live voice chat affects this more than the physical Mic, but it sounds very good according to my buddies.

Microphone - Over USB
- Crisp and clear
- a slight bass added to voice, which sounds good.

Microphone - Over Cell phone.
- Good if mic is pulled away from my face further, but this may be my phone over amplifying the mic.

Cons: COMFORT
- Very tight headset, might take a few sessions to get used to, but in my experience all headsets need a few days to get past that "low headache" phase.

- If you wear glasses these will squeak like a balloon against them sometimes. But many headsets do this to me, but these are the worst when it comes to discomfort with glasses, and over all it is really not that bad. They are the worst headset I have had to use with glasses, but on a scale of 1-10 I still rate them a solid 7.5 for glasses.

SOUND over 3.5mm Jack
- The headset can't seem to handle it's own bass. The PX21's hit WAY harder than these. These get loader, but the bass tends to distort a little. even with the bass set to the center position.

SOUND over USB
- The Bass and treble do not affect this channel
- Not as loud or as crisp as the 3.5mm jack
- It's loudest setting is sometimes only just loud enough.. i wish the USB could get loader.

SOUND over Cell phone
- The Bass and treble do not affect this channel
- Loud electrical hiss when cell phone is charging, It can be clearly heard even in the loudest of music over the cell phone and other inputs. (Easy fix is to not charge your phone while it is connected, but that creates it's own issues)
- Please note there is no hiss when the cell phone is not charging. And it may very well be an issue with my phone, not the headset... but I assume most users phones may do the same.

Microphone over Cell phone
- People complained it sounded like I was whispering, but had the gain turned up all the way an sounded loud and distorted. Pulling the microphone an extra 1-2 inches from my face made for crystal clear audio for my listener.
- This may be an issue specific to my cell phone however.

Other Thoughts: SOUND over Cell phone
- The Volume is only controlled by your cell phone, no controls on the headset, not a big deal, just something to keep in mind.

ALTERNATE SETUPS
- You can connnect your 3.5mm jack to your Xbox, along with the xbox chat wire, and get game audio and chat audio to work perfectly, while connecting the USB to your computer to get your Computer audio, chat audio, and mic to work.

Then you can plug in your cell phone to take calls if needed.

You could connect to Xbox, PC, and a cell phone all at the same time and you will hear all the sounds over each device and each person will hear you over the mic (except cell phone) and it all works perfectly. I testing this for fun. It works.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Sound and comfortable

Pros: Comfortable even when wearing glasses, doesn't get too hot since the ear cups are cloth. Sound quality is great. Very long cord/versatile for console gaming.
I paired this with an ear force DSS for PS3 and this makes a huge difference when playing CoD. I also use it with the DSS setup on my computer through optical and sounds good as well.
Independent controls for game sound chat sound bass and treble adjustments as well as aux input for mp3 player/cell phone for calls. The headphones unplug from the in line controller so perhaps if that thing craps out you can just buy another controller or vice versa for a crapped out headset.

Cons: the only con i have is that the in line controller could have a better clip (like a spring loaded open action rather than just a plastic tab) that's easier clip on to your shirt.

Other Thoughts: for 80 bones, you can't go wrong with these.

5 out of 5 eggsObviously, #1 for a reason...

Pros: Very comfortable and blocks out sound very well. Easily heard, even at the lowest (I've repeatedly set my computer volume at nearest to 0 I could) volume settings. Capacity for going from one interface to another, which is pretty sweet, using just one component and leaving the others ends in place.

Cons: None noticed as of yet. Will update when/if I note one.

Other Thoughts: Arrived in under a week. All-in-all, I happy rate it max 5/5. Very pleased with the product. Time will tell if it has any more unseen Pros/Cons.
