5 out of 5 eggsWorks well for FM4 single player

Pros: As other reviewers have stated, it's better for controlling your car in Forza Motorsport 4 than the standard controller. It's much easier to be precise about turn in and correcting your line mid-corner.
+The triggers have a long throw for precise gas & brake control.
+The vibration works well enough for warning you about traction loss without having proper force feedback (which obviously is impossible with a wheel you hold in midair).
+I haven't noticed any lag in input. Very responsive.
+Takes standard AA batteries (do yourself a favor and get some eneloops).
+It fits well in my medium-to-large adult hands (I loved the original Xbox controller).

Cons: -Lack of shoulder+black+white buttons. The shoulder buttons are necessary for some Forza features (tuning, painting, etc.) so you have to switch controllers to do those things.
-No connector for headset, so forget chatting while playing online.
-Your shoulders will get tired if holding the wheel in the air.

Other Thoughts: I give it 5 stars because it wasn't specifically designed for Forza; and what it's designed to do, it does well. I use manual shift mode (with clutch all the time), and don't find it difficult (X is clutch and d-pad up/down are shift). This makes heel-and-toe (thumb-and-finger?) shifting much easier than the regular controller. The wheel only registers 90 degrees of rotation in each direction, so you don't have to cross your arms. Don't try to hold your arms in the air - rest your elbows on something.

If you're having trouble with consistency with the regular controller, but don't have space or dollars for a real wheel, get this controller - it's totally worth it. I also have a Logitech G27 for rFactor and GT6, so this isn't my only racing wheel, but it is a great performer especially for the price.

Also: I briefly tried it with some original Xbox games on the 360, (like PGR2), but didn't spend enough time tweaking settings to get it to work well - it DOES work though. Unfortunately, it doesn't work like a regular controller for other games - I tried it with Rayman Origins (mini review: buy this game), and although the buttons+d-pad work fine, the triggers aren't recognized for "run fast" - but that's not what this controller is for.

2 out of 5 eggshorrible shipping on this item.

Pros: It's a Microsoft product. but the cons ruin it in my book.

Cons: It was shipped in basically an envelope that was half open upon receiving it. The box that the unit was in inside the "Bag" was also all shredded, and crushed. Why would you send anything semi-breakable in something so horrible?

Other Thoughts: I personally don't even want it replaced with a new one from them. I'm just gonna take it back to a local store for a refund.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat updgrade for Forza series

Pros: I am casual gamer and enjoy playing with my sons on the Forza series of games. Once I switched to the wireless wheel I started to get competitive with them. It is a way more natural driving interface for me and for my adult friends to jump in and play. I love just grabbing the controller and playing with no setup required. The big secret was to adjust the steering outside deadzone to 70 on Forza (don't need as much "twist" to get the full range of steering.

Cons: Missing that extra set of buttons.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Wheel!

Pros: Very smooth variable steering point parameters. This Wheel is Perfect for Forza 3 and 4. I was a bit skeptical on how well it would do compared to a controller, but within 2 to 5 mins of playing I was doing 20% better than with a standard xbox 360 controller. I highly recommend this to anyone who would like to really get into the game without having to spend a weeks wages on a fancy wired unit.

Cons: The only thing I can think of is, I really wish it had LB and RB, and analog sticks, because everytime you want to customize or change settings on a car in forza you have to change over to a standard controller to do so.

4 out of 5 eggsGood value

Pros: Sought a minimal-form wireless wheel, this product works well and is priced right; tried with a dozen racing games without issue; good feel with button placement well done; surprisingly responsive

Cons: None detected

Other Thoughts: Bought with Namco's RIDGE RACER Unbounded, tested (minimally due to time) with Project Gotham Racing 4, and used successfully with older (e.g 2001) XBox racing games, such as, original four from the Burnout series.

Simple to use and set up

Cons: No bumper buttons and lack of sticks make some functions in Forza 4 hard to deal with.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Compromise

Pros: ***Tested with FM4***
Surprisingly responsive; Has good vibration feedback (unlike the non FF wheels which have no game feedback at all); well constructed; adjustable "dead" zones in FM4 controller options; nice travel and feel of the gas and brake triggers; works at multiple angles; Small enough to store in a drawer, but big enough to be comfortable in adult hands.

Cons: There are no Left or Right buttons. This means you need to switch controllers for tuning, painting, community, etc. Basically anything that you need to utilize the LB and RB to navigate. It's very easy to switch controllers, just wondering why MS didn't include them???

Not easy to manual shift (in FM4), and you can forget trying to use the clutch. Since you are now moving the controller, it's hard to hit the correct (and very small) buttons.

Lack of sticks means you have to live telemetry (in-race) if you want to manually shift. Standard is using the left handle D-pad for shifting, and the right handle buttons for clutch, ebrake, etc. There is not an option to move telemetry to the right buttons.

Select and Start buttons are difficult to reach while racing.

Other Thoughts: This is a good choice if you are tired of using the controller and cannot afford or do not have space for a wheel and pedal set up. I have young kids and our Xbox is in the living room. While I want a wheel and pedal set-up, my wife would kill me! ;-)

There is a learning curve switching from the standard controller to the WSW. I have had it for almost a month, and am just now getting close to my Std Controller lap times. I still use the std controller for rivals and career, but I will be switching to the WSW once I can consistently post as good or better lap times compared to the ones with the std controller.

People with Larger hands (small-medium adult hands are fine) may find the wheel a bit small. The buttons on the right handle are about 1/3 the size of the ones on the std controller.

5 out of 5 eggsGood--Solid--Wireless.

Pros: This thing works great for most driving games. We use it for Forza4 and Cars2.

Cons: As stated in previous posts not all functions in some games are available. Not a big deal in my book.

Other Thoughts: Overall a good buy. We are new to "Xbox Land" so this devise is providing a good entry point.

2 out of 5 eggsGood casual racer controller but...

Pros: Simple to configure and use. Does what little it does well.

Cons: Very poor build quality. Lack of L/R buttons and Sticks makes some game hard to navigate.

Other Thoughts: I bought this wheel to use with Forza 4 (an excellent game, BTW) and it is well designed as far as it goes. The lack of L/R sticks and L/R buttons severely hampers Forza 4. Only about 50% of the game's functions are accessible without switching back and forth between this wheel and the conventional controller. So beware when a game says it supports this wheel - chances are it doesn't fully support it. The real problem with this wheel is the build quality. I am on my third wheel and even this one has issues. The first 2 had sticky D-Pads and A/B/X/Y buttons that functioned sporadically. I am keeping this one just because I am spending more time between home and the store than I am playing Forza 4. But, for a $60 controller, this is one cheap piece of plastic junk.
