Pros: 1. The sound is pretty good & the unit does what it says it will.
2. It's nice, to be able to control volume, of incoming chat.
3. Cheaper to buy this one, than one of the more expensive models +adapters for 360.

Cons: 1. My 360 datacable is 7-8 feet long ---powering this set with USB, means TV & 360 must be < 3 feet apart (no USB=no sound). And not using the controller cable, means I need line-of-site with the 360, to use the controller.
2. Lots of feedback, when using wired controller.
3. Headset seems very adjustable --but even when not 'tight,' I end up with a couple of sore spots, from periods of use over 45 min or so.
4. Nothing here says this unit is WHITE.
5. I still feel like I need an adapter, as the mic plug is cellular handset 'standard.' ... I've always thought the plug & 2 prongs of the MS set made the connection more reliable.

Other Thoughts: I spent quite a bit of time, looking on-line for real reviews of this & didn't find many. One I DID find, reviewed this & the cordless, in one review. This did NOT mention the feedback problem, nor that the cordless has noise reduction ---while this doesn't. (The plantronics site & newegg don't mention either, re: this item.)

I'm still wondering, if I would have been more satisfied, with one of the corded + noise reduction models & 3-4 adapters, to allow me to get more use out of the thing.

Pros: Newegg Delivery and service top notch as always.

Cons: As it says in the title it is not compatible with HDMI. I don't know about everyone else but I have not used a Standard analog sound and video out cable since the days of VHS. The USB plug on the headset only provides power not a connection the the Xbox system. Here is the response from Plantronics.

The GameCom X40 (and the related X95 wireless model) requires an analog connection between your XBox 360 and television/receiver. The GameCom X40 is unfortunately not compatible with HDMI installations.

Other Thoughts: Do not waste your time with this headset. Other brands offer compatibility with HDMI. The lack of this very important feature makes this headset totally worthless. It is not compatible with anything other than an Xbox and if it can not provide sound from a correctly connected Xbox then why is it even on the market.

Pros: Ive used many of the xbox headsets, and this is one of the best. they are better that turtle beaches, they are almost identical and its way cheaper.

Cons: Charging the controller there is a loud buzzing noise
most headsets do that
