4 out of 5 eggsTurtle Beach X12

Pros: Sound.
Comfortable, big ear piece.
Price when on sale.
On sale often.
Xbox and Windows compatible.
A lot of stores carry them..

Cons: Breaks easily where ear / speaker swivel side to side.(swiveling is not needed)
It's just a small piece of hard plastic.
Cord is too long of course.

Other Thoughts: Have went through a few pairs but still worth it for the price (best bang for the buck)
Super gluing them will help stretch them out but usually doesn't last very longer.
Do not take them off by grabbing the ear piece, it has taken my kid a while to get out of the habit.

3 out of 5 eggsNice, but not comfy

Pros: Sounds great, has great controls that can recognize programs like Ventrilo, and it's adaptable so you can use it for your PC and Xbox360.

Good price for gamers on a budget.

Cons: Not at all comfortable on my ears. Feels like I have two bricks smashing my ears down after 30 minutes or so (which feels like about 5 minutes in gaming time). Also, it's very uncomfortable when I just lay it on my neck to use it's mic with my desktop speakers. I realize this isn't the primary wearable function, but I can't seem to feel very comfortable in them regardless.

Other Thoughts: I still use this headset for a lot of gaming sessions, as it was the best I could find for it's price. Others may find it more comfortable...maybe I just have big ears or something.

3 out of 5 eggsEhhh

Pros: decent sound, and noise isolating.

Cons: Among the other common problems, the wire is WAY too long. I created a pindle which took out more than half the slack because the wire was just too long.
Also, the mic to me personally is uncomfortable, as after a few hours of use you just have to take them off for a few minutes.

2 out of 5 eggsAudio problems

Pros: "Cheap"
Useful for PC gaming
Good mic

Cons: High pitched chirping
Loud static noise while chatting on Xbox
Xbox chat doesn't play through headset

Other Thoughts: So I bought this headset because I need one to use with my Elgato capture card. When using the HDMI adapter, a high pitched chirping and static occurred. I was told by the support that they had not tested the headset with the Elgato, no suggestions to fix it, just no.

I then tried chatting with some of my friends. The headset echoed despite the tv being very low. Despite setting the chat settings to headset, I could not hear any of my friends, even with chat all the way up. I then switched the audio to headset and tv so that worked out in a way.

Another problem was that sometimes i was unable to chat with my friends. I had no clue what the problem is but my mic would only work when I had it plugged into both my controller and my computer. This produced a static but it was the only way around my problem, especially since I wished to record my own audio.

Currently deciding whether to return these or not.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Headset for the price

Pros: - Very comfortable. I've used these for several hours at a time on occasion (with breaks in between) and they felt good the entire time.
- Sound quality is good. I'm not an audiophile, but I feel I do have a good ear (I've played music for ~10 years), but I was very satisfied with the sound quality. The bass boost slider is nice too, good range of bass to tailor the sound to your preference.
- PC and Xbox. I've used these on both my Xbox and PC and didn't notice any significant change in audio quality between the two.
- Cable is very long, so you can sit further away if you desire (so long as you don't mind the long cable hanging in between you and your Xbox/PC).

Cons: - Mic is not good. There is a background hiss when the mic is turned on.

Other Thoughts: The sound quality from these is very good (as mentioned above). However this was only with the mic turned off. I don't do a lot of online chatting while playing games so I usually just keep the mic turned off. In this format the sound quality is very good. There is a hiss when the mic is on, but like I say, for me this isn't much of an issue because I don't use it much. If you're someone who spends a lot of time chatting during online play, these might not be the best for you. If you don't do much chatting, you can just turn the mic off and enjoy the good sound quality.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy

Pros: -Great sound
-Surround sound is spot on
-loud
-cant hear anything but the game when on

Cons: -white noise(not loud but some)
-can hear yourself talk when you talk on the mic

Other Thoughts: make sure when you hook up to ur 360 the cords are pushed in all the way made the mistake of not wanting to force the plug in and made the mic quiet down
