3 out of 5 eggsOK for a cheapo phone

Pros: Dual SIM. Makes phone calls and receives texts. Usable camera, maps app, can download solitaire, has wifi. :-) I got the phone for emergency use and have a T-mobile pay per day plan, does just fine for that.

Cons: Ancient version of Android, but if all you want the phone for is voice, text, maps at need, etc then it doesn't matter. Display quality is just OK, not especially sharp or bright.

Other Thoughts: If you want a cheapo phone that has at least some minimal data capabilities, this might be a good choice. If you are looking for more of a daily driver, better phones continue to come down in price. At $80 I think this is a marginal buy (I got mine considerably cheaper from elsewhere).

4 out of 5 eggsBasic SmartPhone, with limitations

Pros: If you need a basic smartphone with Dual-SIM support, this phone is great for the price. Any SIM, and it works. I bought this phone to use 2 apps not available yet on my Nokia Phone simply because the price was far cheaper *and* iOS devices have a limited Bluetooth stack. It's not super-fast, but it works very well.

Cons: The issues I have with this phone are short and sweet - it does NOT have an actual GPS receiver in it. If you go to the manufacturer website and look at the specs, GPS is not listed, and apps don't seem to detect one, nor are there any GPS specific settings, so I am assuming it relies on cell tower and wifi data for location instead, especially considering the D310 (Dash 4.5) does have options for the GPS itself. This phone also does not have a front facing camera.

Other Thoughts: Overall, for a basic smartphone, it's awesome for the price. I got it for about $20 cheaper elsewhere, and paired with a charity-centric carrier who offers a $40/mo unlimited everything plan, it's a great inexpensive phone setup.
