IOGEAR GBU521W6 Bluetooth 4.0 USB Micro Adapter Multi-Language Version

Pros: It works.

Cons: installed it and got chatbites junk ware and it incapacitated up a USB host controller on my laptop. Asked them for help and they did give me a place to download that didn't contain the junk ware, but something caused problem with USB Host Controller and they said it ain't my software and kind of told me to stuff it. Really sweet people.

Other Thoughts: I will never buy anything from IOGEAR again. Got new software for there bluetooth hardware, and it works great. Software assistance very limited

Pros: I downloaded software per instructions. The BT worked fine, only problem is that I got a caution and error message that my USB-IF xHCI USB Host Controller need a new or different driver and I tried to change the driver by update and MS says I have newest driver and won't change it.

Cons: IOGEAR did help me fix the BT application but will not assist in getting error off of the USB-IF xHCI USB Host Controller

Other Thoughts: Sent email to IOGEAR support, I will finish rating when I get their answer.

Pros: - Bluetooth 4.0
- USB
- Very tiny
- Works with all the devices I've thrown at it

Cons: It's so small that my fingers can't pull it out without having string attached to it through its hole. If you ever plan to re-use that USB port, I'd recommend putting string on it, so that you can pull it out. I compromised, I use dental floss, but any good strength string should work.

Other Thoughts: Used this with an Apple iPod Touch 4G 64GB and a Tracfone Motorola W375g Phone. Have tried other devices, and it connects fine, but I haven't actually used the other devices to see how they work with this device.

Pros: Easy setup and connectivity

Cons: Reliability upon delivery

Other Thoughts: Bought two of them two months ago, but had to go through the RMA process twice to get two working ones (DOA - deducted two eggs for each RMA). So far, they've been working well for my needs.

Pros: Decided not to skimp out on a bluettoh dongle and went for the most expensive iogear vs the asus one. For seven bucks this was a good deal. Worked straight out of the box and was plug n play. No need for drivers off disk on w7. Adapter led even lights up blue but isnt too bright to function as a night light which is great. Range is great and pairs well with my logitech k810 keyboard.

Cons: Not really a con for the adapter, but I could not tell why my laptop kept loosing connection with the bt keyboard. Make sure in device manager you disable the function for the os to automatically turn off the device to save power. The adapter always needs to be powered to maintain the Bluetooth connection.

Pros: This is my 3rd Bluetooth dongle that I've purchased here at Newegg, all for various reasons. The dongle is sturdy and build construction is of high quality. I use this one to talk on my bluetooth headset via Skype and it works well. It goes further than my other bluetooths before. I'm haven't tested it yet, but I also feel that the file transfer is a bit faster from my cell phone to the PC than with other bluetooths I've had before too.

Cons: Blue light is very very bright at night time. I wish they could put a switch on it to turn it on/off as you please.

Other Thoughts: If you need a bluetooth dongle for whatever reason, this one is a great one to purchase. I'd highly recommend it.

Cons: Broke after 31 days. Could not return to Newegg, had to get warranty from Iogear. They shipped me a new one.
During the wait had to get a new dongle because of keyboard.
Now I have 2 dongles.

Pros: When it worked in Windows 7, performance was just ok.

Cons: No Windows 8 support. Driver does not install and there are no generic drivers that it can use. Seriously?

Pros: So far have not had any issues, and have pretty solid range... reached from my computer to my shower radio which is about just about 30 ft

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: Can't go wrong if you need bluetooth every now and then and need something cheap, but its probably very dependent on environmental conditions to determine your personal max range
