With rich audio, unsurpassed call clarity and industry best wind noise reduction the BlueAnt Q2 is the best sounding Bluetooth headset ever built.

This smart Bluetooth headset comes packed with more advanced features than any other headset on the market today. The Q2 includes a comprehensive voice recognition command set, text to speech technology that announces the names of incoming callers, voice access to a world of information and incoming SMS readout.

  • newegg Voice Control. Voice Dial. Voice Answer. The Q2's comprehensive command set allows you to pair, configure, and control your device, as well as make and receive calls, all using your voice. When the phone rings, responding is as simple as saying the words "Answer" or "Ignore", and to make a call you simply say "Phone Commands" and the Q2 will activate your phone’s voice dialing feature. The Q2 even provides help and support along the way. It talks you through the pairing process to get you started, and if you forget the voice commands you can just ask the device "What Can I Say?" to hear your options. If you have trouble getting the voice control to work for you every time, simply use the Sensitivity Level command to adjust the voice recognition setting so that the it works best for your voice.
  • newegg Caller Name Announce with TTS When you receive a call from one of your contacts, the Q2 will use its integrated Text to Speech (TTS) engine to announce the caller's name, so you will always know who is calling without looking at your phone. The Q2 accomplishes this by automatically transferring a copy of your mobile phone contacts after pairing. It can store up to 2,000 phonebook entries for each paired device.
  • newegg Hear Your Messages On The Go BlueAnt developed an Android application that you can download for free to any Android 2.0+ handset. Once you have installed the application on your phone, you will hear your incoming text messages read out automatically through your connected Q2 headset. Alternatively, BlackBerry and Android users can install the Vlingo SafeReader application to hear email and SMS messages read out automatically on their connected BlueAnt device.
  • newegg Voice Access to the World The Q2 integrates with Bing-411 to provide voice access to a world of information. Just by saying the words you can hear stock quotes, movie times, directions, weather forecasts, sports results, news and traffic updates.
  • newegg A2DP Audio Streaming The Q2 features integrated A2DP streaming audio functionality, so you can listen to music or podcasts, and hear turn-by-turn direction information from a GPS application on your phone. You can also use this feature to stream audio from a Bluetooth-enabled computer to the Q2.
  • newegg True Multipoint Technology True multipoint technology means that you can connect two phones to the Q2 at the same time and answer whichever one rings. With true multipoint, both phones remain connected to the headset at all times, so if you have calls on both phones at the same time you can use the Q2 buttons to switch between calls and phones.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible

Pros: When it works it is good

Cons: It was ridiculous to install, it reads text messages ONLY sometimes, voice commands do not stay on you have to repeat each time, the battery is now dead after 2 to 3 hours and NOT all talk time

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good

Pros: Fits nicely on the ear. Blue ant software recognizes voice very well and good audio quality

Cons: To make a phone call using your voice the software patches you into what ever software is on your phone. I have an android and the phone never understands what I say. I say the command open calendar it calls my high school girlfriend, I say call Dad it call my high school girlfriend. Pretty much every command calls my high school girlfriend... I just initiate calls on the actual phone instead of by voice so not a huge deal.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst BlueTooth ever

Pros: Looks cool

Cons: I purchased two of these so it's highly unlikely the unit is defective. The following issues were encountered using an iPhone 5:

- Randomly unpairs.
- Frequently unpairs when you mess with the volume controls on the headset.
- Audio reception starts to break up when the phone is more than 3' away (same phone has 30' range with every other headset I've used).
- iPhone 5 does not show on screen battery level indicator.
- Battery life when listening to audio (podcasts) is only 3-4 hours.

Other Thoughts: Truly disappointed with this device. I'm switching back to Motorola CommandOne, HX550, and Elite Flip models. This one looks like it's built better than Motorola, but it simply doesn't work as well.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Headset

Pros: Clear on both ends
Good battery life
light weight

Cons: During android updates can get confused but that android not the headset

Other Thoughts: Great headset. I'ved owned 2 of these. Gave the first to my son. We both love them. I feel quailifed to recommend this since I have owned several headsets thru the years...Jawbone, Plantronics Voyager Pro(which is also a great headset) and several others. The Bing stuff is a gimmick but all other functions work great. It works with the GPS also just say " "Navigate to" {location}. You need the app on your phone but all late versions of android have it. No need for Vlingo or the like. I don't even bother with the Blueant app but try it you might like it.
