Marginal performance at 30m in open and less through wood/sheetrock walls. Unfortunately, my office/ lab/home are 35m apart. Previous Uniden 1-line worked great, but had only 1-line capability. The voice quality is good, which is important to me because my hearing isn't great. The base set is designed at an angle that is very comfortable for desktop use. The screens on both the base and the cordless handset have a back-light which comes on when a call comes in, which makes it very easy to see the caller ID display. The setup comes with a separate cradle for charging the handset, so the wireless phone doesn't have to be stored by the base station. I don't use the answering machine capability because I like Vonage and Google Voice's message transcriptions. Phone book entries can be copied between the handset and base station. Cons: The handset cord that comes with the phone is shorter than I prefer. This was remedied by simply using the cord from my old phone.
