Cons: After closely studying the instructions, you learn that certain operations like setting the current time or changing your answering message can only be done while using one of the mobile handsets. The base station simply does not have the keys needed, so it is useless.

Here is an example key sequence (remember, it only works on the cordless handset, and you don't enter the [] chars): [menu]->[#][3][0][2]

Did you memorize that? Good, because there are no helpful prompts to guide you through it. If you don't have the manual in front of you it gets very frustrating.

This is not a user friendly interface.

Pros: Great cordless range with excellent signal quality. The answering machine is the first digital unit I've owned that's
intelligible. Love the silence feature that allows me to silence the ringer on either the base or cordless unit for a programmable time span. The handset will work in a power outage as well.
