4 out of 5 eggsBest Phone I have owned

Pros: Very clear and great range. Set-up and programming were easy. Adding numbers to the phone book was very simple. Able to use multiple handsets at once.

Cons: Ringer sounds very electronic. Handsets are very slim and may be prone to slipping from hand.

Other Thoughts: I had been buying cheap phones for years and always disappointed in the range or sound quality. I also had to have two different phone sets so I could use a head set while working from home. I was able to replace all of my phones with this great unit.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent cordless phone

Pros: Corded base unit
Good cordless range and reception
Excellent sound quality
Lots of advanced features
Handsets powered by rechargeable AAA batteries

Cons: Some settings confusing
Short coiled cord on base unit
Low handset volume

Other Thoughts: The corded base unit means at least the base unit will work during a power failure. This feature is getting hard to find.

The handsets are powered by ordinary rechargeable AAA batteries. They can be replaced by any off-the-shelf rechargeable AAA batteries at the end of their life. No expensive, proprietary, discontinued battery packs to track down.

The cordless range is excellent, as is the sound quality, there's only a slight background hiss.

The coiled cord on the base unit is rather short but it can be easily and cheaply replaced. Unfortunately one of my handsets transmits at low volume.

This phone system is loaded with features. Caller ID is a must and it will enable the phones to ring differently if the caller is in your phone book. There are separate phone books to separate caller groups and ringtones. There's a great call block feature which will block "out of area" and "private caller" calls (although this setting is hard to find), plus a 30-entry call block

4 out of 5 eggsGood Hardware, Less Than Great Menu Design

Pros: Very nice phone, great sound, nice features, handsome design, nice form factors.

Cons: I think that the designers of the menu system for setting the features on this phone must be graduates of the Insane Institute of Design. American 3rd graders could have done as well. This is one point at which Panasonic has fallen into the trash bin of history. This is the single reason for not rating the phone 5 stars.

5 out of 5 eggsPanasonic KX-TG1062M

Pros: First off I am NOT a paid reviewer for Panasonic or Newegg. I am a 57 yrs old disabled and home bound. I have to take a phone system very serious for security and outside communication (I do alot of lip flapping on the phone). I did alot of research a 3 phone systems before choosing to replace a 2yr old 2 handset 5.8 ghz Panasonic system with this one. The reason I had to upgrade to a 6.0 is that I was getting bad conflicts with my wireless router. This was the only problem with the old Panasonic. I am glad to say that the new system has fixed that. The KX-TG1062M is a great upgrade. It is easy to set up. The interface is very easy to understand with large letters and numbers, both on menu and caller I.D. It comes woth a very good price with Newegg. If you choose this system and you are a first time buyer with Newegg you owe it to yourself to give them a try. Orders are filled and shipped very quicky and custer service is 5 star. I hope this review helps with your decision.

Cons: Some of the menu's system choices have to be programmed with code numbers listed in operation manual. Not a real problem.

Other Thoughts: With the economy in the shape it is in today,we all have to pinch every penny till it screams..This is a great stable system for the money..

4 out of 5 eggsGreat system!!!

Pros: Easy setup and operation.
High clarity from base unit and handsets.
Nice display on handsets and great features for price.
Message retrieval and monitoring from handset is excellent.

Cons: Seems to have a decent battery life, but not great.
Keep the user manual handy for programming purposes.

Other Thoughts: Replaced an AT&T Dect 6.0 system that was only a year old. The handsets started to develop alot of static and they lost communication sometimes. This system is heads and shoulders above my last one. It has 2 less handsets, but the idea of a corded base unit in case of a power loss is great. The system programming and handset functions are terrific. For the price, this system is great!!!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Phone

Pros: Very nice design, no wireless interference with my other wireless gear, works very well. Sound very clear and while my house isn't the largest, the wireless handsets work in every room of a two story house and outside on the deck with no loss of quality. Setup menus not too difficult to navigate, only need to setup numbers one time and copy to other headsets and base. I was looking for a system that had a corded base (for power failures) with an answering system plus a couple of spare handsets, this system fit me to a tee. The rechargable AAA batteries will be easy to replace when it comes time, but right now they last even my wife's long-winded phone conversations.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I use the base as a kitchen phone, hanging it on the wall. The base uses a power adapter to power the voice messaging system, so make sure you have a plug handy, and a pretty good way to hide the cord.
