  • newegg DECT 6.0 PLUS DECT Plus technology takes the superb sound quality and outstanding range of DECT 6.0 phones to a whole new level. By increasing the frequency of error correction by up to 80x, the transmission quality is improved and the phone's range is extended. Engineered to work in 1.9GHz frequency, Panasonic’s DECT 6.0 phones won't conflict with common wireless devices such as 2.4GHz routers, wireless keyboards and mice, microwave ovens and other household items. And because it's digital, you'll enjoy long range and clear sound while deterring eavesdropping.
  • newegg TALKING CALLER ID Now you can hear who's calling from across the room without having to get up. Using text-to-speech technology. Panasonic phones featuring Talking Caller ID that announces caller ID information in between rings. What could be more convenient?
  • newegg RANGE BOOST Clarity even at extended range is a hallmark of Panasonic cordless phones. Panasonic’s 2011 line-up features Range Boost technology; a built-in antenna to the base unit; that extends transmission range by up to 20% compared to previous generation phones, so you can keep talking as you keep walking.
  • newegg POWER BACK-UP OPERATION (Handset) What happens to your phone when there’s a power outage? Nothing, with Panasonic’s 2011 models featuring Power Back-Up Operation. A powerful battery back-up system keeps you connected so when the power goes out. Keep a charged handset in the base unit and you can still make and receive calls with the other cordless handsets.
  • newegg INTELLIGENT ECO MODE This feature automatically lowers the power consumption when you're using the handset close to the base unit. Not only does it extend the available talk time, it's good for the environment. When less power is used by the handset to communicate with the base unit, battery life is prolonged which results in less frequent charging and can result in fewer batteries in landfills.
  • newegg TONE EQUALIZER Everyone hears differently. To maximize clarity or accommodate hearing loss, Panasonic added Call Tone Control to select 2011 models. This exclusive feature actually lets you control the bass, mid-range or treble tones in a caller's voice for maximum clarity.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat phone system

Pros: Simple, expandable, Bluetooth works with cell phones, it works.

Cons: When using the base speakerphone, occasionally people tell me they can't hear me well. Not sure why this happens.

Other Thoughts: I use the base and one handset at least 4 hours everyday and have done so for almost 6 months now. It hasn't failed me yet.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far, great

Pros: Relatively easy to use and set up
Seems to have all features you would look for in a home phone
Fantastic bluetooth functionality including connecting cell and importing phonebook

Cons: Would prefer a slightly bigger screen on the base unit that can display more information
Phonebook does not show/import information on phone type if multiple for an entry

4 out of 5 eggsWorks as promised

Pros: Bluetooth connection capability, huge address books size, good hardware.

Cons: Wireless audio quality could be better. Not as good as a cheap 9 dollar wired phone.

Other Thoughts: Bought it for $65 from NewEgg. Great buy. Easily connected to my iPhone 4 and a blackberry, downloaded thousands of phone numbers without issue.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Cool!

Pros: Has pretty much every feature you would want! Btooth links to my cell. Unit rings when my cell gets a call so I can answer a cell call with it and call out thru my cell, I get my cell CID thru it as well. I really like that. I wouldn't have a base that doesn't have dial pad...This one does. Handset is very clear, doesn't seem to have any interference issues with my other electronics(router, etc). Range is good ~150' to my mailbox still very clear & crisp. I believe it could go much farther. Also the handsets utilize AA Rechargables, not the propriatary battery packs. (Which are still just individual rechargables bound together). With the Eco technology I am getting a week to weeks without the need for a charge. And If I need to replace the battery Nearly any rechargable AA from Wally world or DG will do!
No problems with Answering Machine function. Not that any were expected. It speaks the CID. Pretty cool. but could say number instead of just name. Especiall when name is something like "Wireless Caller" But hey it speaks - my last one just sit there and did nothing!

Cons: Only a few minor ones. Which is why I deducted 1 star.

There are buttons on the base that are not on the phone and visa versa. Also you must to use the handset to edit the phonebook as well entering the codes to program features. Apparently you cant do this on the base?

And as other reviews on the web have stated! The intercom has to be answered at the other end... You cant just hit intercom and talk to the person in that room! They have to get up and go to the base and hit a button. My kid set thru the ringing for 5 mins then walked to my room to ask me what! Now thats pretty useless. I wish there were firmware updates, I'd like this to be changed.

Other Thoughts: Other than the forementioned cons. Which I can easily tollerate. I still love this phone. Once I settled into using it on a daily basis I found it the best choice after looking at all of them... I am still quite pleased I purchased this unit. I love the great big CID letters on the Bright Display.
I am only using one of the handsets. It gets carried to the living room and sets neatly on my end table - The extra charger base is great for that. I have put the extra handset up in the box still wrapped in plastic - So 5 years from now if I damage this handset, or the buttons go bad, I have a brand new one just waiting in the wings. Lets face it the handsets get abused & go bad. Thats why I replaced my last unit. I personally dont need two handsets floating around the house. I can call out from the base. So this way I plan on getting twice as long a life out of this cordless unit! I got 15 years out of the last Panasonic and the base still works.

4 out of 5 eggsFeatureful set of cordless phones

Pros: The Bluetooth functionality has proven more useful than expected. I've been able to connect a bluetooth headset and both of our mobile phones to the base station. The connection quality is good: I can roam the house without degrading call quality too badly. Using NiMH AAA batteries is a great idea. It's cheap and easy to swap out batteries when they die.

Cons: Bluetooth peering seems to happen with the base station only, which is inconvenient for roaming the house with a Bluetooth headset. I couldn't find any model of this type of phone that didn't include an answering machine. I haven't used a physical answering machine since 1996 or so.

Other Thoughts: I guess landline phones are getting to be archaic, so the cordless phone market is much smaller than it once was. Despite this, I am happy with this model and would recommend it to others.

5 out of 5 eggsFabulous!

Pros: Great features. Bluetooth function is easy to use. Volume level on base unit & headsets wonderful! Screen on headsets is easy to read.

Cons: That I didn't buy it sooner! Glad I waited though & got a great sale price from Newegg!

Other Thoughts: I can't say enough about this phone system. I just love it! Pairing to my bluetooth headset was a cinch! I will *not* add our cellphones though as they are Tracfones & we use them infrequently ... only for emergencies and when travelling. There is a learning curve with using this system. But, like I always say .... READ the manual & follow it. You should have no problems.

3 out of 5 eggsPoor Bluetooth Range

Pros: Good call quality, imports contacts from your mobile phone via Bluetooth, good range on the cordless handsets

Cons: Bluetooth range is very limited, can only be used for one call at a time

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a good cordless phone to use with land-based telephone service, look no further. This is an excellent product. If you plan to use this with your mobile phone over Bluetooth, consider that by its nature, the range of Bluetooth is quite short. I live in a fairly small apartment, and if I leave my phone in the kitchen, it will not communicate with the base station in the bedroom (about 25 feet away, through 1 wall). Even with a clear line of sight, it will only reach about 45 feet. Also, despite the fact that when connected to two phones and a land-line it is basically a three-line phone, you can only use one at a time. If you are using cellphone two for instance, and cellphone one gets a call, it will not ring. You also cannot use one handset to talk on a cellphone and the other to talk over the land-line simultaneously. I know that some of these issues are limitations of the Bluetooth protocol itself, and not this product, but they limit this product's usefulness.

3 out of 5 eggsworks, but sound quality/response time is poor

Pros: It works. I have cancelled my my old home phone service (Comcast) and have since saved about $40 a month. It's nice to be able to answer incoming calls upstairs on the Panaconic KX when my cell is charging downstairs.

Cons: Bluetooth delayed. It takes a good 5-10 seconds after answering the phone for the connection to happen. I had to contact ATT and max out the number of rings before voice-mail because the Panasonic KX would only get a chance to ring once before incoming calls would go to voice-mail through ATT.

Other Thoughts: It would be great if there was a docking station that hard-wire your cell to this phone that would re-charge/ provide a faster connection to incoming calls on your cell.
