  • newegg DECT 6.0 Plus Technology Dect Plus technology takes the superb sound quality and outstanding range of DECT 6.0 phones to a new level. By increasing the frequency of error correction by up to 80x, the transmission quality is improved and the phone's range is extended. Engineered to work in 1.9GHz frequency, the DECT 6.0 phones won't conflict with common wireless devices, such as 2.4GHz routers, wireless keyboards and mice, microwave ovens, and other household items. And because it's digital, you'll enjoy long range and clear sound while deterring eavesdropping.
  • newegg RANGE BOOST Clarity even at extended range is a hallmark of Panasonic cordless phones. The 2011 line-up features Range Boost technology; a built-in antenna to the base unit; that extends transmission range by up to 20% compared to previous generation phones, so you can keep talking as you keep walking.
  • newegg TALKING CALLER ID You can hear who's calling from across the room without having to get up. Panasonic phones featuring Talking Caller ID announce caller ID information in between rings, so you don't have to stop what you're doing to answer unwanted calls.
  • newegg Exclusive Power Back-Up Operation What happens to your phone when there’s a power outage? Nothing, with the 2011 models featuring Power Back-Up Operation. A powerful battery back-up system keeps you connected so when the power goes out. Keep a charged handset in the base unit and you can still make and receive calls with the other cordless handsets.
  • newegg INTELLIGENT ECO MODE This feature automatically lowers the power consumption when you're using the handset close to the base unit. Not only does it extend the available talk time, it's good for the environment. When less power is used by the handset to communicate with the base unit, the battery life is prolonged, which results in less frequent charging and can result in fewer batteries in landfills.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat set up....

Pros: No need for Landline, you can download your phone numbers from cell phone to the handsets and back again, phone in every room with full phonebook while the cell phone sets/charges where ever your normal spot is for it. Handsets have beepers in case one gets lost.

Cons: If you can't find your cell you have to have someone else call you so that it rings. Can't call yourself, Belt clips won't always stay in place. (meh)

Other Thoughts: I see Sprint is offering a "home phone" experience for $20/mo and others are following suit. This set up negates that and allows you pay once and be done.

5 out of 5 eggsWorking Perfectly

Pros: I bought this to get the family out of the analog age and get some wireless phones in the house. These are perfect.

You can name each phone so you can tell which is which.

Paging the phones is such a blessing when you lose one.

It reads out the callers on the caller ID and you can also rename the name attached to the phone numbers so it reads it out properly.

Also, these phones do not need a hardline at every location you place them. They all work off the main handset which is the only one that requires the telephone line. Basically, you can place each phone anywhere you want to.

Cons: The only cons is the device does not hangup automically. The worst part is when its unhooked, the phone makes no audible noise to indicate that it hasn't been hung up. Even worse, should you lose the handheld somewhere in your house, the line stays busy.

Other Thoughts: Give your regular callers to your house awesome names so your phone can say their name out loud each time they call.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat phone system!

Pros: Phone is just awesome. Loudness and voice clarity is just superb, doesn't get interference from WiFi like the one it replaced. Link to cell works pretty nicely. Definitely recommend.

Cons: Not exactly a con, but the Talking Caller ID feature of the phone botches the pronunciation of some names. lol.

5 out of 5 eggsNice phones

Pros: I was surprised by the voice announcement for an incoming call. Now I have to many phones.

Cons: Not really a con but I wish a shorter cord was included for wall mounting.

Other Thoughts: Very clear phones and I am very pleased.

1 out of 5 eggsBUYER BEWARE!

Pros: As others have said, WHILE IT WORKS, this is the nicest phone system I have ever had or used in my home. I agree with most of the "Pros" that people have already listed as it is a very innovative phone.

Cons: AS OTHERS HAVE SAID, this will stop working within 6 months to a year and a half! Mine just stopped working - doing the "base reset" thing constantly, which results in dropping calls, not being able to receive them basically making your entire home phone useless. Luckily I am still in the warranty period but alas I have to pay to send this non-functional paperweight back to them. I want to say I have always bought Panasonic phones and they have been great, but this model obviously has a manufacturer defect that very much needs to be addressed. I just hope they have recognized and fixed the issue on the replacement they send me. If not, and this happens again, I will not be purchasing a Panasonic phone ever again. I truly hope this isn't the case but only time will tell as well as how they handle this warranty claim that I am about to put in.

5 out of 5 eggsReally Good Set of Phones

Pros: 5 handsets plus the base can be used as a phone as well. Has the ability to block the darn telemarketers, even the out of area ones! As far as I know Panasonic phones are the only ones that do this. Good reach, even goes out the door to the garage without loosing the signal. Bluetooth, yes Bluetooth. Got it paired just fine with my bluetooth headset, really cool. We like the big numbers and the screen is easy to read.

Cons: Really none that I can think of unless the fraction of a second that it takes after you answer a call for the phone to respond. Just not that big a deal but I"m sure someone will find it annoying.

Other Thoughts: I have been purchasing Panasonic phones for a very long time now. The last set we had was over 7 years old and we just needed to upgrade. The phones were starting to wear out, getting static-y, just age related things. Panasonic is a brand name that I grew up with, you should have heard some of the stereo's they put out back in the day, really good. I trust them.

5 out of 5 eggsReliable phone

Pros: Everything this phone says it can do, it does. The only grips I have is that it doesn't sync up easily to ALL BT devices. But that's not a big concern. Quality of calls is superb and people can hear someone whispering well behind me.

Cons: BT issues.
