1 out of 5 eggsawful phone

Pros: none

Cons: auto dialer

Other Thoughts: bad phone
the worst phone I ever owned.
the big buttons don't work,
every time I dial, I get an error message.
I dial with other phones and pick up this phone to be able to talk.
It is brand new and a waste of my money.

2 out of 5 eggsPartially Defective

Pros: Phone works quite well, calls are clear, mic is sensitive. Looks decent for a plain business phone

Cons: The menu is not easy to navigate, lights are too bright an annoying, LCD backlight was broken on arrival. (Doesn't stay lit, just flashes randomly and intermittently when activated)

Other Thoughts: Most likely, I'll keep this unit as all I need it to be is a basic phone. The poor connection for the LCD backlight makes me question how well this phone is made and how long it will last.

2 out of 5 eggsdisplay format not same as box

Pros: works a expected

Cons: 1) dim display
2) annoyance: box picture reflects incoming caller id format as xxx-xxx-xxxx. In reality its: xxx-xxxxxxx (no dash between last 3/4 digits) Might be an issue with my phone?

4 out of 5 eggsBasic 2 line

Pros: Audio quality is decent.
Appearance is respectable.

Cons: it's a phone

Other Thoughts: At&t has not made a telephone since before most of you you were born.

If you flip this over, you'll see the name Advanced American Telephones.

This is not an alias for AT&T - it's a dbs for Vtech.

That's ok - this phone is built to somewhat higher standards than their blister packed bottom of the line stuff.

To the guy who suggested adding voip capability - you gotta be kidding!

This would triple the cost of the phone for no real reason.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent- Could be a great phone

Pros: Packed with features

Cons: Mediocre electronics
Sent with electronic bugs built in
Keypad tones (especially the #7 & #9) "lock on" for a continuous tone.
Headset function dead after 8 months
Low price = you get what you pay for

Other Thoughts: I plan on buying another one of these phones even though the one I have is going wack. For me, the abundant phone features make up for the phone wackiness. I should have bought the extended warranty from NewEgg. I planned to send the unit back for factory repairs but waited too long and the warranty expired. Oh well! The problem with returning ANY business phone is how to make & receive calls while the phone is being repaired. DUH! If AT&T improved their quality control and fixed the bugs with this phone I'd give it a 5 egg rating. However, I'm not holding my breath but I will buy another one of their phones.

5 out of 5 eggsBest two line phone I ever used/owned

Pros: Very good sound on speaker, handset & headset (not included). AT&T has produced an intuitive phone with a clear manual, the features work in a intuitive way that is easy to remember.
I successfully conferenced 5 parties (including myself) on this phone, using 3-way calling on both lines.
I have yet to use the 18 # speed dial & 100 number directory dialing, but the instructions are easy enough.
I also purchased a Panasonic KX-TCA60 headset from NewEgg to use with this phone, working fine so far.
I have one pots line and a second, vonage like, analog line from our cable company, this phone works fine with both lines and it also conferences them just fine.
I used a different brand dual line phone that didn't have many of the advanced features of this phone, for the past 8 or 9 years.
Using the call waiting caller id, speakerphone, call hold, missed call scrolling & call conferencing, this phone gives me a lot more flexibility to manage my calls.

Cons: None that I can think of, for now.

Other Thoughts: We already have voicemail at our phone company and our panasonic cordless phone system on the same line has an answering machine if we needed it. I did not want another big desk phone with an answering machine, so this was perfect.
Another concern I had was that you often experience problems with caller ID when two types of phones are operating on the same line. Fortunately, this AT&T unit plays nicely with our panasonic cordless system, both receive & display CID at the same time without an issue.
AT&T could offer a USB interface on this phone & software for your computer to go with it, so you could transfer the dialing directory from your computer.
Finally, if they made this phone so either or both lines could be analog or SIP (VoIP), you have a biz phone that would meet the needs of most SOHOs.

3 out of 5 eggsGets the job done.

Pros: This phone will get the job done for most users looking for an office phone. Feels solid in the hand, backup battery is a +, call quality is great, 2 lines, easy to navigate menu/settings, speed dial is very handy and effective, ability to hold calls...

Does what I bought it to do. I use this phone in my home office for my business line. The features I use the most are speed dial, hold and speaker.

Cons: Well... Like someone else mentioned, the "New Call" light lights up and stay lit for ALL calls received. It would be much more useful if it lit up only to indicate a missed call. The fact that it stays lit until you go through the entire caller ID is pretty annoying.

I wish that the contrast of the LCD display was adjustable. It's hard to read the screen from any angle except straight on. Maybe the ability to adjust the tilt of the screen would fix this.

Other Thoughts: Overall, this phone does what it's supposed to do and once you learn to get over the small cons...it's smooth sailing. Great phone.

3 out of 5 eggsDemands more than its share of attention

Pros: 2 lines with conferencing. LCD display. No answering machine feature.

Cons: Backlight stays on all the time. Big red new call indicator for every call - not just the ones you miss. All new calls need to be viewed in history to make the new call indicator light turn off. Very annoying way to do things.

Other Thoughts: Shipped super fast and at a great price. Newegg shines again.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk Stay Away

Pros: None

Cons: Phone died after just over 1 year. Keys no longer function. Unplugging for a period of time sometimes brings it back. AT&T knew exactly what the problem is, but won't do anything as it is out of warranty by 1 month. Find someting else.
