The latest DECT 6.0 (Digital Enhanced Cordless Communications) technology lets you move freely around your home with long range and amazingly clear sound. It also assures greater protection against eavesdropping for all your calls. Operating in the 1.9GHz frequency range, your phone does not conflict with other wireless devices such as computer routers, wireless keyboards, microwave ovens and other common household devices.

This phone system is equipped with an all-digital answering system for quick, easy retrieval of crystal-clear messages. Message operation has never been easier, with up to 14 minutes of recording time. Don't worry about losing your messages when the power goes out — they're stored in flash memory so they're unaffected by power failure or interruptions.

The speakerphone feature allows you to listen along and press a button or pick up when it's convenient. You'll think up other great uses, like letting Grandma and Grandpa listen to their new grandchild at the same time, painting your nails as you talk to your best friend, or just being able to set the phone down while you talk. Own this phone today!

1 out of 5 eggsDied After a Few Months

Pros: Easy to setup and use.

Cons: Quality is suspect.

Other Thoughts: Bought this phone on 2/12, died on 5/5. I did not use it enough to form a positive opinion on the device.

Because the phone died after 30 days, I can't RMA it to my knowledge.

5 out of 5 eggsConvenient Phone

Pros: It's cordless. It's affordable for 2 handsets. It has many features such as an answering machine. It has a clear speaker. The sync between both handset are good. 1.9 ghz doesn't interfere with my wireless router at 2.4 ghz.

Cons: There were some interference when both handset were less than 1 feet near each other. One time during an incoming call, no sound was heard intermittently and it might have been caused by electronic interference or the microwave. Charging takes 16 hours but once finished it won't be a hassle.

Other Thoughts: Quality brand with tons of feature like remote voicemail check. Cordless convenience and clear sound.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good.

Pros: Voice quality excellent. Range seems very good. Standby and talk battery life are excellent.

Answering machine setup and operation is fine. Answering machine voice quality (which is digital, obviously) seems excellent.

Cons: Simple/generic ringer choices.

Other Thoughts: Touchtone dial speed is pretty quick (redial and address book). Few phones let you adjust this so it's nice to have it be faster than typical.

Speakerphone performance is good.

5 out of 5 eggsShe's Happy - I'm Not

Pros: Decent price for a couple of DECT phones.
Nice range and exceptional clarity.
Ergonomics. It's not tiny like a cell phone
Popular name brand if that means anything.
No Wi-Fi hassles since it operates in the 1.9gig range.

Cons: None for the phone but I bought this for an ex-girlfriend who moved far away, so there's no chance I'll be gettin anything in return - if you know what I mean.

Other Thoughts: Overall, the DECT technology has done wonders for cordless phones. If you still have one of the old brick type phones, or especially an analog cordless, this is one to consider. Digital is far superior to analog in many ways and security is one of them. When shopping for a digital phone don't be tricked when you see "Digital Answering System" in the description but not mentioned in the features or technology. The phone must also be digital, which is what you need if you do banking or enter PINs over a cordless phone. Corded is still the most secure for the home user but DECT is also a reasonably secure option.

5 out of 5 eggsNice set of phones

Pros: Works well without any obvious interference with the 802.11g network in the house. DECT should not interfere. We have another DECT set in the house for the landline - this is for the vonage line which will eventually be taking over.

Cons: none really

Other Thoughts: Since this was for a vonage line, IO wish I could save a few dollars and be able to chose a phone without voicemail, etc.

5 out of 5 eggsgood value, good features

Pros: impressive range, low cost, nice design- no external antenna, rounded back, back-lit numbers, big oval buttons. easy menu system, programmable. Separate buttons for intercom, redial, mute, & speaker.

Cons: long charge time, cant change background color

Other Thoughts: I dont keep it on the charger all the time and when it needs to charge it can take up to 16hrs. If cells can fully charge in an hour or two I dont see why a cordless cant. I also think home phones should have the ability to send/receive texts msgs to/from cells. I'm using mine with VoIP service, works great. The two handsets are a nice solution for a two story home. I wish you could change the background color, I would prefer blue over the orange. Its a good value being $50. I'm happy with the purchase, thanks newegg.
