5 out of 5 eggsFlexible system for multi-line homes + Mobile Phones

Pros: Very versatile......dual lines, multiple handsets with good range, Able to Bluetooth pair with 2 mobile phones (though you can only use one at a time), dedicated buttons for each line

Cons: Difficult to find accessories

Other Thoughts: I have had this phone system for almost 3+ years now and it replaced another aging AT&T (2602?) 2-line system.

I have dual lines (1 OOMA VOIP, and 1 Old Copper line for emergencies & error-free Faxing) + my and my wife's Verizon Wireless Phones.

This system has worked flawlessly since Day 1 with my unique needs. The Bluetooth pairing is easy and making cellular calls from my house phone is simple as a push of a button. The handsets have good battery life and are able to use all the features of the base and operate from good range (granted I live in a 1BR Condo in the heart of a city) with no interference from my neighbors or WiFi or anything.

Granted a lot of people no longer have use for dual landlines at their homes....but for those who don't wish to give up an old copper line for emergencies and wish to take advantage of another line with VOIP capabilities its a no brainer.

3 out of 5 eggsRMA'd once, sound quality issues persist.

Pros: Bluetooth is easy. Caller ID works. Illuminated screen. Enjoy have two lines with cord/cordless option. RMA'd once when the speaker went out after 6 months on the main device. AT&T customer suppoer was great.

Cons: The wireless headset can be very quiet. I have had this issue on both versions I have owned. Settings/EQ don't offer any options on this. I'm on a lot of conference calls and need to be heard. Eventually I will get around to calling AT&T about this. It happens on both lines. Workable in a pinch.

Also, the speaker on the main unit is prone to crackling and volume fades.

Other Thoughts: It's for work, so I don't have to love it. I use the speaker on the main unit 75% of the time and have no issues. The extra features are a bonus.

3 out of 5 eggsWorks well, but one deal-killing flaw

Pros: Good audio quality on the land-line and via Bluetooth. Easy to set up Bluetooth pairing, voice mail, etc. It's really nice to be able to use a comfortable corded phone for long cell phone conversations, and this phone does that very well. The wireless handset makes that convenience even more so since you can put the wireless handset upstairs in your bedroom and make/receive cell phone calls from the handset without having to run around the house looking for your cell phone.

Cons: Although you can do all kinds of 3-way conferencing between Bluetooth-linked cellular calls and land-line calls, there is one big feature missing. If you are already using your cell phone (e.g., you were already on a cell call when you arrive home), you cannot transfer the call to the base unit or wireless handset. This means you have to continue using your cell phone for the duration of that call. This is a deal-killer for me since I like to immediately transfer my cell call to my home phone when I arrive since the cell phone reception in my house is only adequate in one specific spot. Without this feature, I have to stand in one place in my home to finish my cell phone conversation. I checked the owner's guide and with AT&T technical support; they confirmed the phone does not offer this feature.

Other Thoughts: Other competitors like X-Link offer the ability to transfer an active call from your cell phone to your home phone system by simply picking up any home phone extension and dialing *#. Plus, the X-Link system will ring every phone in your house when your cell phone rings, not just the AT&T base/handsets.

If you don't care about these features, I can easily recommend this phone. Otherwise, check out the X-Link system. I have had one for over a year and it works well.

5 out of 5 eggsExactly what I need

Pros: loves the bluetooth integration, it just works!!! sound quality is excellent.

Cons: the display is not informative -- wish the display screen can at least show the time and date as a clock.
