Features
Red Steel 2 returns with an artistic style and flair created just for Wii. Set in a desert-bound, high-tech metropolis, Red Steel 2 is another revolution in the action-fighting genre, taking full advantage of the capabilities of the Wii MotionPlus accessory. Your movements are faithfully replicated on-screen, putting the emphasis on swinging, shooting, and fun! With the added ability of the Wii MotionPlus to sense the strength of a swing, you will literally be able to make an impact on your adversaries through power and precision.

Features

BE THE SWORDSMAN Embody a lonesome fighter, a man of few words with a shaded past full of mystery. Face various, and increasingly stronger, enemies and defeat challenging bosses in epic and intense fights.

IMMERSIVE EDGY WESTERN SETTING Visit various locations through a remote mixed metropolis in the middle of the American desert, where Eastern culture and Western culture have been smashed together into a hodge-podge jumble: Caldera. You will discover the game’s immersive background and environment as you make your way through the adventure.

UNIQUE PRECISION CONTROL OF YOUR WEAPONS WITH WII MOTIONPLUS The Wii MotionPlus provides 1:1 recognition where the sword and gun movements are precisely replicated within the game. Slash the villains the way you want! Plus Wii MotionPlus measures the power of your swing. The harder you swing the Wii Remote, the harder the sword swings in the game!

CLOSE COMBAT SYSTEM Feel like a powerful master swordsman and gunslinger thanks to the first-person-view that puts you in the middle of the action. Fight up to six enemies simultaneously and feel the power and freedom to use your sword or your gun at any time. Master numerous combos with your sword and your gun ranging from triggering exciting finishing kills, parrying enemy attacks, or even deflecting bullets with your sword!

4 out of 5 eggsGood Game

Pros: This is Wii so yes it is amazing graphics. Controls are phenomenal. You need to actually get up and swing as hard as you can, and in order required. It is fun and rewarding experience.

Cons: Wish there is more MotionPlus games like this one!

Other Thoughts: Lack of Wii HD, is not noticeable in this one!

4 out of 5 eggsBest controlling 1st person game EVER

Pros: Motion-plus creates easily the smoothest, most accurate FPS/FPA yet. Shooting can be achieve faster than any analog stick or mouse could ever dream.

The fact that swordplay directly responds to the direction and strength you use, creativity and physicality actually benefit the player.

There's nothing else quite like this on the market. It's a very cutting-edge experience.

Cons: The game is too short. No local multiplayer or co-play. Nothing online.

Some sections are repetitive. There's no world map - which can make the game frustrating at times.

Other Thoughts: I bought this here for 14 bucks. That's a steal.

4 out of 5 eggsDisregard other posts

Pros: The game's visuals are stunning in some locals. The game is cell shaded, as I am sure everyone is aware of but it looks nothing like an N64 game like the I have read in another post; that is just a ridiculous comparison. At times I forgot I was playing the Wii because the visuals were so sharp. The controls definitely require a learning curve but it is no less difficult than any other FPS on the Wii. It isn't true 1:1 motion recreation but it is close enough to provide an enjoyable swordplay experience. Probably the best aspect of this game is the ability to customize turn speed, dead spaces, Wii-MotionPlus sensivity, etc...You can tweak just about everything.

Cons: The upgrade system adds a bit more depth to the game but doesn't add a level of accomplishment for getting said upgrades. Very linear. Load times can take some time.

Other Thoughts: I am writing this as a response to the other posters...especially the coaster guy. You obviously don't know what you are talking about and are harping on a decent game. Having trouble turning? Then stop being lazy and mess with the dead space and the turning speed...problem solved. As for the graphics being compared to an N64 game...what game were you playing that looked this good on the 64? This is one of the best looking Wii games to come out to date. Get a life....

1 out of 5 eggsNo good

Pros: The disk makes a nice cup holder, seriously, that's what I'm using it for...

Cons: The controls are awful. To turn left/right you have to aim the wii remote off the screen. To swing the sword left/right you have to swing the wii remote left/right. Every time you try to swing the sword at an enemy, you end up turning away from them and swinging at air.

The graphics look slightly better than the N64, the story line is terrible, the game play is repetitive and did I mention that the controls make you want to launch your wiimote at the wall?

Other Thoughts: I was going to sell the game used, but decided that using it as a coaster would better warn all those who see it as to how much I think it's worth.
