If you think you knew what it felt like to be the bounty hunter behind the visor, think again. The Galactic Federation’s network computer, Aurora Unit, is suddenly and completely corrupted with something like a virus. The Federation believes Space Pirates may be behind the problem and are soon attacked. Samus and other hunters leap to their defense only to find that the enemy they face is Dark Samus, armed with immense power that no one can withstand.
First-Person Perfect: Players control Samus by moving with the Nunchuk controller and aiming with the Wii Remote controller, allowing for a level of immersion unlike anything they have ever experienced. It's a quantum leap in first-person control.
Wonderful Weapons: Samus employs well-known power-ups like the Grapple Beam and Morph Ball, as well as new surprises, to help her survive. Using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers, players will be able to grasp and pull things by using actual arm movements, as well as execute amazing feats like aiming and blasting in midair or at a full run.
Phazon's Powers: The game also incorporates a new system involving Phazon. If you fill Samus' Phazon supply to a certain level, Samus will temporarily go into hyper mode, a state in which she can pull off incredible feats. On the flip side, if she exceeds the maximum Phazon level, she'll perish. Also, for the first time in the Metroid series, Samus' ship will be used in active game play.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: A solid finale to the Metroid Prime trilogy. If you liked the first two on GameCube, you'll like this one.

Cons: It's not the great leap ahead you usually expect when a franchise moves to a next-generation system. Play control on the Wii takes a little getting used to, but isn't too bad once you get the hang of it.

Other Thoughts: Why does Nintendo seem to care so little about the Metroid series? Even though it's not that old, this was one of the only sites still selling it. Also, it doesn't seem like there are plans for another Metroid game anytime soon.

4 out of 5 eggsNext best FPS controls to mouse/keyboard

Pros: Great graphics from the Wii. Gameply is good. The controls at first bothered me but after switching them to advanced I no longer disliked the controls. They should have set the controls to advanced by default, night and day improvement. Independant looking and moving.

Cons: Felt like I was on a path and couldn't benefit or complete the game except in the path they wanted me to. I like to explore and be able to add completion with less then one option to follow.

Other Thoughts: Long time fan of Metriod series. Started actually on the Gameboy w/ the ugly green screen. I was hooked and next follow by Super Metroid.( Virtual Console in Wii is great, purchased Super Metroid and man I usually don't like the old school games but I been having fun running through it again).
Overall I like this game, the main reason I enjoyed this over the Gamecube versions is the controls, I could not stand the controls given to this game with the lack of independant strafe in Gamecube. Now on Advanced Controls in Wii/Metroid I have close to free movement controls similar to mouse/keyboard. Metroid on PC would be sweet.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Game

Pros: Best graphics on the Wii. Amazing motion controls. Deep, detailed environments and story line.

Cons: You better like reading if you really want to get into the story line. The upside is that you don't have to read most of it.

Other Thoughts: To check out the controls alone are worth the purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsMetroid...

Pros: Perfect controls, outstanding graphics, increasingly fun gameplay as u advance in the story, fantastic musical score, unlockables, Wi-Fi support, token reward system that are better then XBL achievements as u can actually DO something with them, and earn them exactly as you would earn achievements, for doing special tasks. Undeniable replay value, im playing threw again just to get 100% complete and it doesnt even feel repeated. Multiple endings, long campaign.

Cons: No online mode, no real way to play with friends over wii-connect, no arena mode, luckily none of this really is needed as the replay value is already good enough. This is the last Metroid Prime game :(

Other Thoughts: I played the first Metroid Prime and got close to the end & loved it before i got rid of my gamecube. This one is like the first on steroids and once i got into it i enjoyed it more then the original and am still enjoying it. *NOTE* play this game without the wrist strap rubber guard, its funner plus more rumble filled.

5 out of 5 eggsNice!

Pros: Awesome graphics, gameplay and just simply a well made title

Cons: None! I didn't buy it sooner.

Other Thoughts: This is the second Wii game I have purchased and no disappointment here. The controls took some serious getting used to but I have only had my Wii about a week.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: For me, the controls were awkward until I changed them up a bit in settings. After that, I didn't even think of the controls during game play. The graphics were amazing and as I always hope when playing these 3D metroid games, the background to each and every civilization is absolutely astounding. For those of us who enjoy going and finding every little piece of story they can (even if it won't increase your completion %), this game is satisfying to say the least. Metroid Prime 1 space pirate story is put to shame by far.

Cons: There are two "hint" systems. One you can avoid, but the other forces itself upon you with both visual and auditory on-screen hints.
The "people" aspect of the game isn't my style. I'd rather it be the solo bounty hunter deal where nobody speaks and nobody gives orders. Some may not consider that a con.
Lastly, finishing the game erases your save file and starts a new one. I'd rather it start one on an empty save file or give an option to erase it. Make sure you have it copied near the end if you'd like to save it.

Other Thoughts: They sure did a lot to prevent sequence breaking. Some of their preventive measures bugged my game at a couple points. This won't effect 99% of the population, so it cannot be considered a con.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Game

Pros: It uses the controls well. At first it feels a little odd but you get used to it and start to prefer it. With the more advanced controls, you can walk sideways and still rotate freely. When you are rolled up, you can flick the Wii remote to jump. This is better than bombing your way up. Boss fights were created well and so was the overall story. The replay value is high. It is well worth the 9.5 IGN gave it.

Cons: The story was a bit slow at the beginning. I began to worry for awhile. As soon as you land on your first planet, the game starts to get really fun.

Other Thoughts: Metroid Prime 1 is still better in almost every way outside of the controls.

5 out of 5 eggsBest in the series.

Pros: Excellent story and controls. This game gives you some awesome new abilities and a great new suit. The first Metroid Prime was my favorite until I bought this one. All of the interactive things in the game and all the cool new add-ins make this one the best in the trilogy.

Cons: It could have been a little longer and the ending wasn't all that exciting.

Other Thoughts: Probably my favorite game that has came out for the Wii so far.

1 out of 5 eggsNot what I expected

Pros: The graphics are quite reasonable and there are a couple of interesting puzzles confronting the player.

Cons: First and foremost, the gameplay is not what it's cracked up to be. I bought this game with high recommendations from the guy working in the retail store. I put it in and for the first thirty minutes of playing it, I was kind of hooked. After those thirty minutes, I lost all interest. The story-line is not too interesting nor is the game that satisfying. In comparison with Halo 3, this game is garbage. I returned it a day or so after I bought it because I was incredibly dissatisfied with my purchase. The game isn't as much of a shooter and it's not quite filled with twists and turns. In sum, I found this game to be an incredible waste of money and time. I was not engaged nor did I look forward to playing the game. At a point, I figured I should beat it because I payed for it, but I didn't want to go as far as to invest that much time and energy into something that boring.

Other Thoughts: The graphics are the only thing going for the game, otherwise, it's not worth the time nor the money.
