SS4Ricky 5/17/2012 11:28:54 AM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 4/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 5/5Welcome....to Mario Kart! Pros: At 60fps, the gameplay is very fluid for a handheld. I would call it the sweet spot between Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii. 3D's pretty, and I do feel it enhances the look of the game, but I find myself turning it off more often than not. A lot of classic tracks are enhanced by the new flight and underwater mechanics in this game. Whenever you go underwater your kart changes shape and feel. When you hit a flight boost, your glider shoots out and you fly over other racers. Many of the new tracks have parts of their level just flying. It's a lot of fun. Online play is very smooth and lag free, and besides a few shortcut abused levels (cough maka wuhu) it feels balanced. Bringing back coins to the racetrack I felt was also a good idea. Cons: Still gonna get blue shell gimped at the end of the 3rd lap in 1st place. Like, it's gonna happen. You're playing mario kart, what else would you expect. They also took out mission mode, something i personally thought was a great addition to the series. One last gripe...my hands. They hurt. I'm a big guy, and good lord do my hands cramp up after like a half hour of gaming. It's rough, not as bad as Kid Icarus(which is terrible on my hands) but bad enough for me to take a break while gaming. Who takes breaks while gaming? Well any grown adult male playing mario kart 3ds for too long, thats who. Other Thoughts: This game is pretty much a staple to your 3DS library. I frequently go to conventions and there's just big gatherings of people with their 3DS's out playing mario kart.
