Features
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is a new game with a new storyline set in world of the Super NES classic The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. It finds Link with the new magical ability to flatten himself and turn into a drawing on the wall, giving developers a whole new dungeon mechanic to play with. The game will also feature multi-level dungeons which should look incredible using the Nintendo handheld's 3D capabilities. The graphics and art style look absolutely beautiful as well. Of course, that's pretty much expected from a Zelda title -or any of Nintendo's first party titles for that matter.

Features:

- A daring adventure awaits Link in Hyrule, where he can use his new ability to become a "drawing" and move along walls of dungeons. This opens up ways to explore and puzzle elements that give Link access to locations he could not otherwise reach.

- The game brings this top-down, 2D world to life with elevation and depth made possible by the Nintendo 3DS system's stunning 3D visuals that reinvent classic Zelda game play at a constant 60 frames per second.

- Using the touch screen, touch and drag the item from the items window and switch the item assigned to the X and/or Y buttons.

5 out of 5 eggsNew Favorite Zelda!

Pros: Amazing revival of an already great game!
Brought back everything that was good about LTTP and made it feel fresh.
The weapons are satisfying, killing enemies feels good, solving puzzles makes you feel smart, this game is so well put together!
It was the right amount of challenge, looks, and plain old fun.
I'm not exagerating when i say that as I was playing this game it steadily rose through my all time fave ranks.
In fact one of the things that sealed the deal was when I started playing with my gaming head set and heard the amazing orchestral sound track.

It's just one surprise after another with ALBW, if you are a Zelda fan, especially if you liked LTTP and you were receptive to the new art direction brought about by Wind Waker, this will be one of your new favorites, I guarantee it.

Cons: It's not 10x longer, I didn't want it to end! But once the gf is done with it I'll dive back into hard mode!

Other Thoughts: Everything just feels fresh.
New inventory system, new character and world design, new method of level progression.
Oh and once you turn in your first set of those freaking adorable MaiMais and upgrade your bow, you will also be sold on this game for life.

5 out of 5 eggsA Whole New World

Pros: An absolutely well-done sequel to A Link to the Past by Nintendo. This game pulls all of the familiar elements that are known and loved into a brand new experience.

One of the newest elements of the game is an "item shop," which allows you to rent (and later, buy) any key dungeon item in the game. This means, aside from the required first temple, you can do the other two Hyrule dungeons in either order as well as any of the 7 Lorule dungeons in any order. This opens up a wide spectrum of difference between runs, being able to choose to rush the later dungeons for key powerups (such as the Blue Mail and Master Sword L2), or start easy with the earlier dungeons.

Another new function to players in metropolitan areas or friends/siblings with a copy of the game is the ability to make a "Shadow Link Clone." These clones take your current two items equipped plus your max hearts and gear, and sends a Shadow Link to a Street Passer's world. The two of you can then battle the other's clone, and a rupee reward is granted if you manage to prevail. There's also an entire subset of challenges dedicated to this feature.

Well worth the buy. If you're newer to the Zelda series, it provides good challenge and reasonable explanation. If you're a veteran, the game is quite short but still the same Zelda we know and love.

Cons: In just over 24 hours' time from opening the case, I've 100%'d it. Maybe a tad short for a seasoned Zelda player, but one of my favorite to-date.

Other Thoughts: When I pre-ordered this, I'd assumed Newegg would charge me for the pre-order and I wouldn't have to worry about it. By the time the game came out, I was already low on my budget and got surprised by the charge for this game.

Good lesson to know for next time I decide to pre-order a game from here.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Legend of Zelda: ALBW

Pros: A Link Between Worlds is a system seller and rightfully so. The game looks great on screen and runs well in 3D. Its an adventure I recommend for all ages.

Cons: I can't think of anything that would improve the game.

Other Thoughts: Several times I have been tempted to pick up a 3DS XL but never took the plunge... not until, A Link Between Worlds made its debut. I am thrilled to own and play such a marvelous game that continues to push the series forward. If you are a fan, pick it up. If you are on the fence, pick it up, you won't be disappointed.
