Operating directly under the National Command Authority, a relatively unknown entity of handpicked warriors are called on when the mission must not fail. They are the Tier 1 Operators.

Over 2 million Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines wear the uniform. Of those, approximately 50 thousand fall under the direct control of the Special Operations Command. The Tier 1 Operator functions on a plane of existence above and beyond even the most highly trained Special Operations Forces. Their exact numbers, while classified, hover in the low hundreds. They are living, breathing, precision instruments of war. They are experts in the application of violence. The new Medal of Honor is inspired by and has been developed with Tier 1 Operators from this elite community. Players will step into the boots of these warriors and apply their unique skill sets to a new enemy in the most unforgiving and hostile battlefield conditions of present day Afghanistan.

There is a new enemy. There is a new war. There is a new warrior. He is Tier 1.

  • newegg Fight Today’s War Elite Special Forces in a gritty combat campaign using the surgical tactics of Tier 1 Operators combined with the sledgehammer force of Army Rangers.
  • newegg Unparalleled Authenticity Intense story with incredible pacing and variety set in the rugged Afghanistan landscape, creating a shooter experience only available from the storied Medal of Honor franchise.

4 out of 5 eggsMedal of Honor is good but short

Pros: Medal of Honor is a good game but I will warn the campaign is short. The story is compelling but very short. But if you can pick up this game on the cheap then go for it. I definitely found the game enjoyable and would recommend it.

Thank you for reading my review, if you have any questions feel free to email me, I would be happy to help you with any questions you have.

Cons: campaign is short

1 out of 5 eggsDon't waste your money

Pros: Looks good

Cons: Storyline glitches like crazy, I had to restart 3x
Online play is garbage, instead of creating two sets of weapons, they decided to make the same weapons for each side and call them something else, there are like 5 maps and you have to play each one 2x, and sometimes up to 6x each. The guns are totally not balanced, the one bolt action sniper rifle takes two shots to kill so anyone with a brain will run after getting the first hit, a shotgun will take up to 4 shots to kill, 2 shots point point blank range and since they are pump guns forget about killing anyone. A short range weapon will head you dead on across the map and long range will miss. The game lags, its not the connection because I've played from many places, you can run behind a wall and all of a sudden someone just scores a head shot even though there is no way, it was just lagging. Knifing is hit or miss, sometimes you will knife someone right in front of you and nothing will happen.

Other Thoughts: This game felt like it could have been great but then they just stopped working on it and released it. Online play sucks and is very frustrating. I do well but I have never been so frustrated playing online because you never know if your weapon will work correctly or if it will take 8 shots to kill someone. I will never buy a MoH game ever simply because if they could take the time to release a finished product, it tells me they were more interested in just getting your money rather than give them something good. I will stick with Battlefield in the future, MoH is a toal disappointment.

5 out of 5 eggsthrilling adventure

Pros: Solid game worthy of your dollars. The game is unique in the sense that as you go from level to level, you see the transitions happening in real time. Where in one level you may be pushing the enemy back along a mountain side, in the next, you play as a sniper helping those same troops traverse the mountainous terrain from a mile away. Call of Duty seems to lack that kind of immersion. Also, the multiplayer is a blast.

Cons: Not really a con for this game, but for FPS' in general. AI is so quick to shoot first and ask questions later. Specific to this game, the main problem I had was feeling unmotivated to fight for the U.S. It seems like we just went in there and wrecked havoc without any good reason lol

Other Thoughts: overall solid experience

2 out of 5 eggsShould have quit while ahead on the PS2

Pros: Game has great locations and can use the night vision at anytime during the game.

Cons: Polygons break. Video choppy. On occasion you can walk through your partner. Graphics are awful compared to Black Ops. Both Modern Warfare had better graphics than this game. Paid $25 for it and still think I over paid.

Other Thoughts: I would rather play though CoD MW1, CoD MW2 and Black Ops all over again before playing this. I have yet to play multiplayer online but comparing the background graphics to CoD not even worth the time to try.

4 out of 5 eggsMOH '10

Pros: Good Single player story-line. On-line is a nice strategically/graphically superior alternative to CoD games.

Cons: Single player campaign mode is a little tough to follow at times. Gets stuck have to be in a certain spot in order for the game to move on to the following objective.

On-line gameplay has lots...LOTS of snipers. I'm not why some people say this is a horrible game for sniping, it's actually a lot better for snipers than Black Ops is.

Other Thoughts: On-line gameplay is addicting to the point where I must force myself to go to bed at night. The learning curve here compared to CoD games is pretty's pretty tough at first, but once you get a few unlocks things get a bit easier. The best part of the game is the point streaks system. For once, you get the option to use streaks to boost your team or to attack the opposing team. For example...sometimes it's a better option to hand out upgraded ammo than it is to call in a missile strike. Or to jam the enemy's radar rather than call in an artillery strike. The point is that you can now make that call...which means more strategy is involved depending on what game mode you are playing. This is a great game that I have no doubt in my mind would be a great addition to the library of someone who likes to use their head a bit more than other games require.

5 out of 5 eggsRealistic Environment

Pros: Uses realistic lingo/tactics from SOCOM Special Ops training, and is based on Operation Anaconda which took place beginning March 1st, 2002. This is why I loved this game so much. It's realistic from that standpoint, not just someone running around shooting people.

Cons: Too many glitches throughout the game. Had to restart it a few times to get past them. EA could have spend more time working out the bugs.

"Rabbit" who I assume is Navy Petty Officer First Class Neil C. Roberts (SEAL) dies in the game. His death occurred on March 4th, 2002 when he fell out of a Chinook.

Other Thoughts: Still wish EA, Ubisoft and everyone else would follow Zipper Interactive's lead by creating these games in 3rd person view. First person view makes me a little sick and can only play them for a limited time. This is why I hardly purchase these games new. I made an exception for this one.

The best Squad-based Shooter for 2010!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Game - worth the money to me

Pros: Good single-player campaign

Online Matchmaking helps keep a somewhat level playing field

Online maps seem an appropriate size for Team Assault mode - not too big and keep the action coming

Fun weapons with options

Cons: Single-player campaign had no real "story" to it - its just a couple days in the life of a soldier fighting in Afghanistan

Sometimes frustrating in single player was that you had to be standing in a certain area to trigger the next cinematic scene

Wish there were more Team Assault maps

Slow load times across the board - from just getting to main menu, to level loads between each round in multiplayer. Wish it had just loaded more to my hard drive to eliminate the load times.

Other Thoughts: Background - more of a "run and gun" type of online player, who does like to snipe sometimes. Little-no prior online experience with COD, and relatively new to online shooters on PS3 (diehard mouse/keyboard addict)

I think people are really harsh on this game. I've certainly gotten my money's worth out of it going thru the single-player campaign and now a multiplayer mode that I just can't seem to put down long enough to crack the seal on COD Black Ops. Sure, it has some areas that could be better, but what game doesn't?

The matchmaking does a pretty good job of keeping it level and keeping relatively newer online players from getting frustrated by the players who "have no life" and play non-stop.

Online has a "run and gun" feel to it, but if you want to lead the points and move up thru the ranks quickly, you need to figure out how to balance the run and gun with the stealth, as you need to survive long enough for launching mortar strikes for the big points.

Really enjoy
