5 out of 5 eggsWorks on PC

Pros: I've had this wheel for about 3 weeks and paid about $100 bucks for it. So I got it for a great deal. It works on PC (Windows 8 in fact) and it works wonderfully. Lots of settings to play with and they can all be reassigned if need be. I'm currently playing F1 2012 and it is a dream to drive. Love the force feedback. Peddles work great and don't slip. There are gear up and gear down buttons on the back side of the steering wheel just like you would have on an F1 race car. I haven't had to use the gear shift yet, but there are videos on youtube showing it's use. Go have a look.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Overall a great steering wheel. It is promoted as a PS3 steering wheel, but I use it exclusively on PC (Windows 8). It comes with a DVD with the drivers, but I just went to the Logitech website and downloaded the latest drivers.

4 out of 5 eggsA little spendy

Pros: + Plenty of controls so as not to need to be within reach of your keyboard
+ Well shaped wheel, feels good in the hand, diameter is big
+ Smooth wheel action, nicely weighted
+ Locks solidly to the desk
+ Pedals stay put on carpet with traction bar in the down position

Cons: - Mounting screw heads are exposed making it look a little cheesy
- Vibration feedback is a little weak
- Vibration motor quite loud
- Pedals slip a bit on hard surface with traction bar in the up position

Other Thoughts: My 5 year old son and I are enjoying Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit and Dirt 3. Having a wheel makes ALL the difference in game play compared to a keyboard or even an Xbox 360 game pad. In comparing this wheel to the Logitech Momo which I've had since 2003 I must say I prefer the Momo. Features of the Momo which I prefer are:
~ Thicker steering wheel and higher quality rubber
~ Rubber covered shifter and re-positionable shifter
~ 3 mounting clamps vs the GT's 2
~ Mounting screw heads are covered with a panel
~ STRONG vibration feedback

I took off an egg due to my perceived value of the GT wheel being $150 vs it's build quality. I would've been "5 egg" pleased with this purchase if it were priced between $100 - $120.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid and Sturdy

Pros: -Good FFB in many PC and PS3 titles
-Well-built; dropped this wheel a few times and it still works
-Buttons on the wheel that are easy to press
-Easy to set up

Cons: -Soft pedals
-Paddle shifters (or buttons) are hard to reach and don't feel like a real flappy paddle

Other Thoughts: Pretty good. I love this wheel. I recommend this product to anyone who isn't rich enough for a G27.

1 out of 5 eggsGood Wheel, Terrible Smell

Pros: This wheel worked perfectly and was very responsive. The Playstation buttons on the steering wheel itself were very convenient for navigating the menus on Gran Turismo 5. Force feedback on the wheel was good, and you really have to fight with the wheel to control the car (could be a con).

Cons: Now on to the smell of the rubber on the steering wheel. It smells horrible! I have a sensitive nose and after I used the wheel for a couple of hours, my nostrils hurt for about a 3 days afterwards. I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem, but I must of had some kind of bad reaction to the rubber they use.

I contacted Logitech customer support and they were very helpful. They offered me a refund since Newegg did not, and they're sending me the check in the mail.

Also another con is that the pedals are pretty bad as well. They don't offer much resistance at all. When I went to drive my real car afterwards, I ended up slamming on the brakes by accident.

Other Thoughts: If you have a sensitive nose to the smell of rubber than do not buy this wheel. Maybe go for the G27, which is made of leather instead. Otherwise, this is a good, cheap solution for a racing wheel on PS3.

4 out of 5 eggsAnother win from Logitech

Pros: Not terribly expensive, PS3 and PC compatibility, decent feedback feel.

Cons: Pedals are squishy, wish it had full paddle shifters.

Other Thoughts: To 'eric', I purchase Logitech products whenever possible and have had great longevity on all of them. This wheel is almost 3 years old and going strong, my keyboard and mouse are both 7 years old and work great, though WASD aren't really visible anymore. Would recommend this and many other Logitech products to a friend.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Inexpensive, works with PC or PS3

Cons: Cheap design wears out quickly. I just had my 2nd one die, both after just over a year, just out of warranty coverage.

Other Thoughts: I'll be changing brands. Seems all logitech devices are like this. I have owned 3 wheels, 4 mice, 2 keyboards and 1 headset over the past 6 or so years. I have had 2 wheels, 1 mouse and 1 keyboard die just outside of warranty. And 1 wheel and 1 mouse DOA. Maybe I just have bad luck...

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome! Worth every penny

Pros: 1000x better than the normal PS3 controller. Much more fun, and much better control of your car.

Cons: Gas pedal/brake slips on my carpeted floor. I had to put something behind it to keep it in one place.

Also, it was hard to find a table to clamp it to. I ended up taking a piece of 3/4" wood and made it's own table.

5 out of 5 eggsFeels Great

Pros: Great wheel and the feedback is fantastic. There's no other way to play Dirt or Gran Turismo games than this wheel. I can't go back to a controller now that I've had this wheel.

Cons: The triangle button is used as reverse in gran turismo 5 so you can't hold it down while turning the wheel or else you're gonna have a terrible time. However, chances are if you need to reverse in gran turismo, you mightaswell start over again.

4 out of 5 eggsNFSHP on PS3 rocks with this wheel.

Pros: The responsiveness is fantastic with this wheel in Need for Speed Hot Pursuit for the PS3. I've seen a You*ube video where they speak of the responsiveness with Need for Speed Shift wasn't that great and had a lot of play in it before each turn. I can assure you that is not the case with NFSHP. I'm going to buy Dirt 3, shift 2: Unleashed & Test Drive Unlimited 2 and just have blast. Although there is a calibration setup in the Accesories Setup section it's not really needed because after it's plugged in and you turn on your PS3 it automatically calibrates and it does it again when you enter your game. My game play was so-so when using the PS3 wireless controller but after just one race with this wheel I had way more control of my vehicle which allowed me to set a new top score for that race. I can only imagine a few games of practice with this wheels how good I'll be. I'll probably beat all my friends scores now too. Very nice!

Cons: Although it was originally designed for Gran Torismo 5 I'm unsure if the buttons are remappable. My nitrous boost is on the right flap shifter which is normally mapped to the 'X' button on the PS3 wireless controller. This needs to be remapped to the 'X' button on the wheel.

Other Thoughts: Also bought a custom hand made table/platform specificly designed for racing wheels of all designs from that all famous auction place online. It has 18 adjustable positions and has an adjustable pedal stopper mat. It all collapses to a flat state and can be stored under your couch. The racing wheel paired with this custom platform is awesome.
