It is September 1998 and the action centers on the ill-fated Raccoon City and the horrific consequences of the deadly T-virus outbreak.

With a cover up required, Umbrella orders an elite team into Raccoon City to destroy all evidence of the outbreak and eliminate any survivors. Meanwhile the US Government has quarantined the city and dispatched its own team of elite soldiers to determine the source of the mysterious outbreak.

Players take on the role of an Umbrella Security Service soldier (U.S.S.), competing alone or in up to four player co-op in a battle against all the competing forces at play in Raccoon City.

Other Thoughts: this is not a resident evil game, it a FPS with just the characters added. the story with this game completely messes up the hole resident evil story line. I have the PC version of this game and in order to even play it I had to use a cheat as the bosses are to difficult to beat. and because of the laq of proper development with this game I will no longer support capcom. 0 out of 1 people found this review helpful. N/A 7/15/2012 10:44:38 AM Tech Level: 4/5 Ownership: 4/5	Rating: 4/5 Pros: It has the newer over the shoulder gameplay of the newer "Resident Evil" titles and the feel of the old games. It takes you to a lot of older locations and it does feature old favourite enemies. The story line is non-canon and it takes about 8 hours to complete if you're good. I had to play online with other folks to get past a certain point. It's actually a good time if you're into mindless run-n-gun shooters. Cons: There aren't any puzzles. That's really an issue with the current Resident Evil games. It's all action, there aren't any real puzzles or inventory management. I miss my box puzzles and spending 30 minutes looking for a key. They could have made this game with some of those in and made them require two or more players. Other Thoughts: It's not a bad game, it feels like the bridge between older survival horror Resident Evil and the newer run-n-gun Resident Evil titles. Did you find this review helpful? Cons: Creators of SOCOM did make this game but I like SOCOM so I really can't say its a con. Pros: If you are the type of person who loves playing with your buddies online and love resident evil this is for you. But I recommend you wait to buy this game when it's $19.99. Basically the only thing good I can say is it's unique. Cons: -short campaign -Dumb A.I. -if you die and your partner can't get to you your other A.I. Squad mates won't revive you. Other Thoughts: I'm a huge RE fan and this game felt like SOCOM or like a house of the dead type game. I didn't feel like I was playing a RE game really, only thing that made it RE was the sound effects when u pick up items, the items, names of charecters and monsters. MoAmmo 3/23/2012 1:59:54 PM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 2/5	Rating: 4/5Pretty Good Game Pros: - Upgradeable Characters and Weapon Purchases - 4 Player co-op with friends online (or public) - Fighting Zombies and Military Ops - Different "classes" to choose from (Medic, Demo, etc.) - 4v4 online play w/ zombies interfering as well (more of a challenge) Cons: - Graphics are a little lacking for PS3 - Ran into a couple of small glitches (annoying) - Sometimes the voice/sound doesn't correspond to the video - Friendly AI does random things sometimes (annoying) Other Thoughts: Overall, it's fun. It's not your typical Resident Evil game. This is definitely more of a "run and gun" style, and less scare tactics/puzzle. It's definitely growing on me, and I don't regret the purchase.
