5 out of 5 eggsExactly what I expected, plus...

Pros: After much thought and looking online for reviews I have found this HOTAS joystick exactly as I had expected. Though a little vague on whether or not it had a twistable stick I was pleasantly surprised (as I had only read one review that suggested such) that it was! I am more than happy with my purchase. It came faster than the Bluetooth adapter I had ordered a day before (nothing to do with this item, it is not Bluetooth.) On a side note, I ordered this specifically to play Elite: Dangerous, as that game is really tough to play with anything but a HOTAS joystick. And, it's ~$50!!! Buy it!

Cons: No Cons here, straight edge guys doing what they do for the price for sure.

Other Thoughts: It comes with a allen wrench attached to the base so you can mount the throttle to the handle. The throttle may feel a little loose to some (only in the "Zero" area, about a half inch of play) but I like it, it'd be difficult to tell the null area without it.. Or, at the very least, it'd be hard to go from null to very little throttle without the play. Also, there is a bump between null and throttle + or -, so that helps.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty good

Pros: This Hotas is well worth the $45 or so it cost. Perfect for Elite Dangerous and can be well utilized for war thunder and other flight simulators. The stick can be adjusted for more or less resistance and the amount of buttons and added functions allow you to practically use it mostly without the use of the keyboard to an extent.

Cons: The only con I can really see is the length of the wire is a bit short when seperating both the thruster and joystick. Also be forewarned for those that have never used a Hotas, It takes time and patience to get use to flying it. So keep at it

Other Thoughts: Only Con I would have is to say I had an issue with Newegg's service. Ordered this product with 2 day shipping and rush processing on friday the 25th. Didnt get it until Tuesday the 29th due to newegg not working in the weekend... Just a minor issue

5 out of 5 eggsBest bang for your buck.

Pros: Inexpensive HOTAS setup that does what it needs to do well. I've used it for Elite Dangerous & Star Citizen it's a great addition and adds fun per hour to your experience.

I highly recommended it.

Cons: None that are unexpected in a budget HOTAS.

Other Thoughts: The unit is a little light so when in intense situations and you push a bit hard on the throttle or stick it'll slip or tip. I ended up drilling it onto a board so they stay more secure. Not much of a con but more of a suggestion if you want an even better experience with this device.

4 out of 5 eggsThrottle needs work

Pros: The joystick has almost no wiggle and adjustable resistance which leaves nothing much to be desired.

Cons: The throttle feels very low quality with no resistance and a lot of wiggle.

Other Thoughts: Nice ergonomic design, being detachable is a big plus. Buttons work well for the low price point.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for the price

Pros: Plug and play worked great, no driver install needed on windows 7. Good number and configuration of buttons on the stick and throttle. Plastic body, but still decently sturdy. Tension control is a definite perk.

Cons: After a couple of weeks the whole thing squeaks a good bit during use. I can see this as something that might annoy some, but it doesn't really bother me. Wish it had tension control on the throttle as well, as it's a little floppy for my taste.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to play Elite: Dangerous with and it has been prefect for this (after a very small amount of tweaking). I tried E:D later at a friend's house with his X52 and while it's a great joystick it was too loose for my liking. Probably didn't do the X52 any favors playing with a completely foreign control setup, but after trying that I was doubly happy with my T.Flight purchase. I'm not saying it's the best joystick on the market, but for the price it is absolutely fantastic. In a perfect world they would offer the T.Flight joystick with the X52 throttle for $100. That I would do in a heartbeat.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect budget flight stick

Pros: Plenty of buttons, good feel for both throttle and stick, easy to separate and re-attach

Cons: I keep seeing comments about the cord between the throttle and stick could be longer, It feels and plays fine when connected though, I'd say it's preferance

Other Thoughts: I bought this for Elite:Dangerous and it works like a dream. Hardest part was figuring out what did what and how best to configure it to my liking. Works well with Star Wars Tie Fighter, X-Wing and Tachyon: The Fringe too! If you're confused when setting it up, READ THE MANUAL.

4 out of 5 eggsSturdy, accurate, responsive, and inexpensive

Pros: Sturdy when assembled as a single unit (yes, the left and right controls are detachable). The controls are programmable, accurate and responsive. It has pre-mapped controllers for FSX and Tom Clancy's Hawk. It's compatible with PC and PS3.

Cons: When assembled as a single unit, the controls are very close together, but you'll barely notice after an hour of play. When one separates each side, in an attempt to achieve a more comfortable posture, the two bases tend to become unsteady when applying a moderately-low amount of force during use.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this controller for Steam's Microsoft Flight Simulator X (FSX) after a week of researching compatible, reliable, and relatively inexpensive flight sim controllers.

I decided on this one because:

1) it's compatible with the FSX
2) It's under $60.00
3) It's received more positive reviews than negative.
4) It's a very popular choice among flight sim enthusiasts.
4) It's 100-times better than a standard gaming controller.

For the money, you can't get much better than this. I received this controller earlier today, and I put in around five straight hours in FSX.
