I've programmed all 3 TV's in my house to the remote and also my DVD/VCR and my DVR/Receiver. It has 6 different buttons which are already set to be programmed to a specific type of device (eg. TV, VCR, DVR, Receiver, DVD) and then two AUX buttons which can be programmed to any device you'd like. That way you can program 2-3 of the same type of device. I was a little worried that it wouldn't be compatible with my older TVs but it works just fine with them. It has all the buttons you would need on pretty much any device's remote. Even the colored buttons for your receiver that control the + or - 12 hour function for the guide. Also has a glossy finish that matches my TV. Has a backlight button that lights up the remote for a couple seconds. Cons: The backlight is very bright. It's almost so bright that it drowns out the letters on the buttons. I expect that this will be less of an issue when the batteries drain a bit. It's not a big issue anyways. It's also a little too long for one hand to span the entire remote.
