TRENDnet's Wireless Cloud Camera, model TV-IP751WC, and takes the work out of viewing video over the internet. Previously to view video remotely, users needed to perform many complicated and time consuming steps: such as signing up for a third party dynamic IP service and reconfiguring their router. The TRENDnet Cloud service removes all of these complicated steps. Users simply open a web browser and log into the TRENDnet Cloud with their unique password to view and manage this camera. A free App for mobile devices brings live video to smart phones and tablets.

About the TV-IP751WC

Wireless n technology connects the camera to a wireless network and provides unsurpassed wireless coverage and improved streaming video quality. Add this camera to your wireless network at the touch of a button with Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS). The TV-IP751WC offers 640 x 480 (VGA) video at up to 20 frames per second (fps), one-way audio, motion detection recording, scheduled recordings, email alerts, date and time overlay, and four times digital zoom. A wall/ceiling mounting kit is included and the camera's off white housing blends into most environments.

About SecurView Pro Management Software

Users can either control each TRENDnet camera individually or can use the free included enterprise class SecurView Pro software to manage up to 32 cameras. SecurView Pro is compatible with Windows and Microsoft Server operating systems and supports all current TRENDnet cameras.

SecurView Pro provides users with extensive camera viewing options. Users can define a combination of weekly recording schedules and motion detection recording; program motion detection areas of any shape; set date, time, and text overlays; and define mask overlays to conceal sensitive areas.

Zero loss architecture provides the ability to record a single video stream to multiple locations simultaneously. Manage recorded files by time or by storage space. A navigation timeline of stored video provides a quick visual reference of recorded content.

Pros: It worked until I had to get a new router

Cons: Called customer service several months ago because it wouldn't work with replacement router. Was told a technician would call me back in an hour. I waited months with no call. Tried to reach them today. Very long holds. Was finally told to call back later. Then even longer hold of about a half hour only to be told someone would call me within an hour. Of course they won't.

Other Thoughts: The few bucks saved on this cheap product is not worth the hours lost due to poor documentation and even worse customer service.

Pros: We've had one of these running wirelessly at my church for nearly a year without any issues. We use it as a webcam to monitor a community garden that we run. Instead of the included cloud app, we run WebcamXP Free on an office PC and it works perfectly. Video is very clear once you get it focused.

Cons: Not really a con, but it does take some level of technical ability to get it configured, especially with a third party app. But it's been working awesomely!

Pros: As a conventional IP cam, this is a 5 * item IMO.

Cons: Windows 8 phone can not view from cloud. You use something else?, don't be surprised if you have trouble. There seems to be no data available to help troubleshoot the cloud operation of this camera, and you may get little to no help from Trendnet

Other Thoughts: I submitted a support ticket because I couldn't view the cam from the cloud address on my Windows 8 phone. I asked two questions: How do I view on a Win 8 phone? Answer: not supported
Also I asked, If not supported, when? No answer received.
A friend of mine has this camera (at my recommendation) and he can't get the cloud view to work on his collection of Apple products and Apple router. Support was clueless and offered to set him up with support that comes at a $ price. I had a lot of trouble getting it to work on my router. The setup wizard was useless. While some systems may be setup in a few minutes using the software, If you have trouble, you may find that you are on your own! I have IP thermostats that work easily and reliably from the cloud. They don't stream, but why not a static image option that works? I don't remember ever running into such a poorly documented feature from a major supplier.
I wrote a 5 * review (here) earlier covering only the camera used as a conventional IP cam. It's still 5* as a regular cam.

I called their support again & got a live person. From then on, they got someone who clearly knew what he was doing and tried to resolve the issue. It appears this model has audio noise problem with wireless (fine with wired network). The camera otherwise performed adequately. They replaced mine with a different model, which has much lower noise. So I'm happy with the overall customer support...changing to 3*.

Pros: Price would be good if it worked.

Cons: Did not work. Poor directions. No number for customer support. Was not recognized through wired or wireless connection attempts with U-Verse.

Other Thoughts: Too much hassle to return--just won't buy that brand any more.

Pros: The camera was easy to install through a web browser.

Cons: Mine has a high audio static. Tried everything before I called their tech support. Got a live person really quick, but nothing is good beyond that... First the tech person couldn't seem to understand the static noise was a problem, then he proceeded to instruct me to SHUT audio through config. I thought it was testing but he asked I had anything else to discuss, I still can't believe it. After another 10 min back & forth about why this is a problem and I still want an audio, I gave up and called customer support, which directs me to "customer service - 3". There I got the message "Sandra is out today, please leave a message". So Sandra is the customer support and I hope she is not on a long holiday out until next year.

BTW, I can't find a link for warranty service on their website - you can register, you can view it, but no way to request warranty service...back to Sandra :)

Pros: Easy to install. Image is clear under CFL lighting. You can view the video on mobile app. i had set it up in garage and it has been continuously on for 5 weeks.

Pros: Comes with nice stand and cat 5 cable.

Cons: Can't find it on the network, wired or wireless. System find type of camera during install wizard but, once you change password and move to next step, I keep getting the following message: "Confirm that the camera is powered up, confirm computer is connected to your network and then click the Retry button" I cannot pass from here so it seems that I just got a brand new dummy camera at a very expensive price.
