Pros: junk with the original firmware from factory,
good if you upgrade the new firmware for camera and the box, they will make very nice wireless system. strong
connect with all 4 cameras.

Cons: not happy too long. after upgrade the firmware. system work good for 2 week.then the nvr repeating reboot after showing loading....... on screen.
quit working after weeks.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome system

Pros: The problem that other people may be having is the same thing I went through. These cameras have an awesome res. Thus , you must have throughput. Once you give them what they want , they kick it. The specs should tell you what they need, but they don't. You need at least a 10 megabyte connection to get them to hang on. Use speedtest.net on your smart phone to tell what kind of speed you get. Wifi analyzer also helps with knowing what you have for signal. truly handle all lighting conditions!

Cons: Have to know what your doing. manufacture specs lack in telling what kind of hardware you need as a minimum. They start fuzzing out at 15 below zero, but still keep going .

Other Thoughts: Been testing for months. I have learned a lot. this kit needs to attached to fast hardware. Gigabit would be most desirable.

1 out of 5 eggspoor choice

Pros: The software works great and NEWEGG? I received the kit within 48 hours!

Cons: The wireless cameras began failing after running them for a few days. They have to be constantly repowered up. The NVR cannot be directly to a Windows computer and the software won't run on Apple OS. I have a non functioning camera and am expected to pay freight to get it replaced. Their customer service is like one guy! Wait 30 minutes to speak with him. He is competent. Make sure you reach ZMODO because ZMODO.com is really just a distributor. THat was according to the person I contacted at ZMODO.COM. He said that he was the President of ZMODO , and that they "Repeata" were really distributors. I am contacting the main office in PRC.

Other Thoughts: I could have purchased the same wired kit (Refurbed) for $100. Now I am running 25 feet of cat 5 cable to get a "Wireless Camera to work! THe NVR reboots and when it does? It drops cameras out! I feel insecure with this security system!

3 out of 5 eggszmodo wireless nvr system

Pros: For the money? This system is wonderful. Setup (if all equipment works out of the box), is painless! A Linux 1 TB hard drive is a plus as well

Cons: The static Network addresses of the 4 cameras do not always work. The cameras need a good amount of ambient light to function properly. The power cables for the cameras are real short. Spring for the optional 100 feet optional set!

Other Thoughts: Going thru an internet service provider for the same security system will cost about $50 a month!

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: None. Really, there are no pros to these.

Cons: These are really junk. I have spent hours with tech support but really only about 5 minutes since you cannot get through. The motion does not work, the alarm does not work, you can only constant stream even with their firmware upgrades. Their instructions do not even match the firmware upgrades and the only thing tech support keeps saying is go to this webpage, the same webpage I have been at 100 times. One camera just quit working. It works, then quits, then works, then quits. Everyday the camera's go offline at random times so I have to keep rebooting them. Some days 1 is off some days 2, some days all of them, sometimes they come back on. So I hard wired them to see if the eliminates the issue, nope same problem. The DVR randomly reboots. If you are trying to playback a video stream it just reboots. So your video stremas have all these blank spots. I have spent 40 hours or more messing with these.

Other Thoughts: We have other video systems. Our home got robbed and we got good videos of the crook so I decided to put in more Camera's so we bought the Zmodo, what a waste of money. We bought these for more security, if they don't work, not much of a security except to hang under the eaves. We have had no issues with the other systems. So now I had to buy another system and install them. Do not buy these.
