5 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal

Pros: Antonline shipped this USPS Priority mail for FREE! Arrived in two days. Bought this as a gift, but have owned my first Cobra ESD 7100 for about two years. Used daily and has saved me a couple of otherwise sure tickets. Performs great for a reasonable price.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I recommend Antonline and will purchase from their company again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget detector

Pros: 1) I haven't gotten a ticket in 3 years
2) Detected laser* and radar
3) Cheap
4) Suction cup has stayed put for 3+ years

*Cop was outside his car shooting laser behind an overpass, I slowed down and he pulled the car over in front of me. I had time to take another exit but I was on the way to a wedding.

Cons: 1) Once in a while laser goes off randomly, which is due to fluctuations in the electrical signal of my car.

2) A working radar detector will go off at every bank and any store with an automatic door, unless it has a GPS and memory to memorize these locations, which you will do as well in time.

Other Thoughts: Anyone who has trouble with this radar detector going off randomly (unrelated to stores) will likely have trouble with anything they add to their vehicle...

I had a Corolla I couldn't get clean power out of for anything, used line filters, everything you could think of. I never got rid of the hiss in my stereo or the false alarms from my radar detector.

In my Maxima I get no false alarms. Same exact radar detector and head unit.

Side thought: Smaller cars may be more prone to electrical interference.

4 out of 5 eggsUseful little sucker

Pros: Does what it suppose to do.

Cons: Catches interference and other signals.. but I guess it's part of it's operation.

Other Thoughts: Little problem with having wires run all around the car hehe

5 out of 5 eggsworks perfect

Pros: Works exactly as its supposed to, right out of the box. Detects police radar AND laser when they have them running, as for false alarms anyone who has ever owned a radar detector before knows that they are not false alarms they are just not in the police band.

Cons: none

1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy this!

Pros: None

Cons: Laser detection goes off on acceleration. Known problem on Cobra website.

When I accelerate the detector starts alerting.

Unfortunately it is difficult to eliminate the interference. The remedies for this problem are not very convenient.

1. Try connecting to a different source of power.

Another car???

2. Try installing a noise filter in the power lead to the detector. This involves cutting the cable and attaching a filter.

Sure... void the warranty.

3. Consider trying a different model detector. A different model will have a different internal design, and will hopefully not be susceptible to the interference.

Note the word HOPEFULLY!

4 out of 5 eggsGood overall

Pros: 360 detection. Detected from at least 1 mile away.

Cons: Beeps are loud when radar close and soft when far away. Most detectors beep slower and then faster. Just not used to it.
