1 out of 5 eggsGreat...if you're a MASOCHIST

Pros: Light is cool and it looks slick.

Cons: Yanks every other hair out of your nose. It is basically unusable unless you like pain. I bought this to replace an old nose hair trimmer that looked really beat up...but still worked. I'm back to the old's ugly but it works.

Cons: Battery would not hold chsrge, resulting in bad operation.

5 out of 5 eggsPanasonic Nose & Ear Trimmer with Light ER421KC

Pros: this trimmer gets the job down without pulling out nose hair
I bought my first unit 2 years ago and it works very well.
it was time to get anew one and it just so happened Newegg had it on sale through a third party Barska great shipping time

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I hope this unit will last as long as the first

4 out of 5 eggsRequired Engineer's Tap

Pros: Works, but not until I gave it a firm engineer's tap. Blades work well at removing ear/nose hair.

Cons: Sounds sickly, I don't expect it to last too long.

Really, a light? Do you think I'll be grooming in the dark? It'll be a nice salvage led once the unit is declared dead.

Other Thoughts: Lost cost bet for better hygiene.

4 out of 5 eggsWow! No pain.

Pros: Trims inside nose without pulling or grabbing. Also trims eyebrows well. Even managed to extend hair cut time by a week by trimming neck hair.

Cons: Had to manipulate battery to get stable power. At first I thought it was DOA (no power), but after reinstalling the battery with a few twists it came on and has worked since.

2 out of 5 eggsReally bad quality control

Pros: Weighs less than 20 lbs?

Cons: Does a more painful job than other devices
Breaks after a few weeks- look at everyone else's reviews
Becomes essentially worthless

Other Thoughts: So during the first couple of weeks it was ok- motor spinning decently and it was doing its thing, if somewhat painfully. However, after a couple of months, it completely degraded into a state where it was barely working at all. Extremely slow spinning motor and would barely spin sometimes, if at all. You could clean it and it would just BARELY start spinning, but then it would stop altogether. Also, the pointless led they included will do nothing other than waste the battery, which already cant actually operate the device. I would stay far away from this product, I'm not sure why everything would go so totally wrong with such a simple device.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Works very well. Does the intended job. Quiet

Cons: Light seems useless.
Sounds under-powered but works.
When I first got it it would not work. After taking the tip apart and reassembling it it has been working as a charm. ever since

1 out of 5 eggsSmelled like fish, broke after a month

Pros: New egg shipping, I got it on sale

Cons: Lets get right down to the weird. I opened up the trimmer and placed the battery in. The first thing i notice is that when I opened the battery cavity is that it stunk like bad fish. I think "Whatever, maybe it'll go away." It is very disconcerting to shove something up your nose that smells like rotten fish. Let me tell you, it did not go away. But I stuck with because I'm lazy, cheap, and have a tendency to make questionable life decisions. The trimmer eventually died a month later for no clear reason. I am a little bummed because I just bought a Panasonic TV and was looking forward to becoming a Panasonic fanboy. We could've rivaled the Apple fan base, maybe call ourselves the "Fanasonics." But that dream is ruined and I'm back to having overgrown nose hair.

Other Thoughts: Don't waste your money, even if it's on sale.
