4 out of 5 eggsGood Speaker, Bad Size

Pros: This speaker performs well for it's small size regarding audio quality. The treble and mids can be pleasantly earshattering if the volume is maxed out and there is no sound distortion. The bass is not very impressive but still sounds decent and also doesn't distort at all at high volumes. As far as audio quality, these speakers get 5 stars as speakers in the 4in. speaker class.

Cons: The most important thing to take note of when buying new speakers is to make sure they fit. I bought these four inch speakers for my 4 inch speaker mount in my car, but when I tried to install them I found that they were way too big! Not only did the screw sockets not match up but the entire speaker itself did not even come close to fitting in. So if your 4 inch speaker mount looks like it's kind of a tight fit, do not buy these. Play it safe and go with the smaller 2 ways.

Other Thoughts: My saab 9-3 4in speaker mounts were very tight and small, located up on the dash, but if your speaker mounts are in the door and look like they have enough space around them, you will not be disappointed in buying these speakers.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent woofer, midrange and tweeter.

Pros: This high-end 4" 3-way speaker is at the top of its class. With no bass distortion or inadequate mid and high range coverage, the Pioneer speaker is great for small cars that cannot fit larger speakers. The woofer produces clear bass when connected to a 50 Watt or more stereo head unit. The speaker alone is not earth-shattering bass but compliments any subwoofer. The midrange gives a feel that your experiencing the performance in person; it is difficult to differentiate from live music radio. The tweeter is also excellent for reporoducing voice. Either way, all three components of this 3-way speaker is the best of 4" speakers available.

Cons: The package does not include wire crimps to connect the new wires that come with the speaker and the old wires connected to the head unit.

Other Thoughts: These speakers were installed in my 1992 Metro Geo. Although small speakers, they the Pioneer brand always makes the best speakers for any car. If you have a larger car like my Corvette VO6, choose the primier end. They are two levels better than these speakers allow more versatility. Overall, these high-end 4" speakers are excellent for small call sound systems and a great buy when you want quality for a decent price.
