5 out of 5 eggsGreat Antenna

Pros: In the Seacoast New Hampshire area I was picking up about 14 channels at any given time depending on were I was pointing the antenna. 8 of the 14 channels came in very clear on a sunny day. Even on stormy winter days I would still get Boston pretty strong if I pointed it in that direction. I would recommend this product to anyone that is not caught up with cable TV shows... Perfect for someone that is just looking for local news, weather and public broadcast shows. It cuts the cord on paying for basic cable.
It was very easy to setup, I would recommend making sure you have extra cable laying around so you can place the antenna in the best spot. Ideal places I've found would be outside walls, roof if possible and or attic.

Cons: Nothing at this time.

Other Thoughts: You will have to try the antenna out in different areas around your TV. It took me a little while to find the perfect spot which ended up being in my attic. Keep in mind this is a directional antenna. Depending which direction the broadcast is coming from you want to tune in on, you will want to point it toward that direction.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Antenna I've found

Pros: I am at least 20 miles from most broadcasts. This antenna picks up anything I point it at well. I've even been able to pick up stations 50 miles away, though I lose most the others as that station is at a completely different angle. I might get another to combine and maximize my reception.

Cons: Wish it were cheaper. ;)

4 out of 5 eggsGood little package.

Pros: This is a nice little bundle for the price. Small size with easy to use mount and the amp seems to work very well. Installed about 37-40 miles from broadcast attenna's here in the hills and mountains of WV and picks up all the digital station with strong signle. And this is bounced from the hill across the road.

Cons: The mount is nice but the lag bolts that come with it to attach to the house are very cheap and round off very easly due to the shape of the hex. Do your self a favor and get 4 bolts from the hardware store to attach it with.

Other Thoughts: Good directional unit but I feel the amp is the real magic behind the curtain with this one. But it did impress me with great reception.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: I did some research, found db calculators (Google coax length calculator), and ordered this. I ordered it because it has a 13db amp, and the price. I set it up temporarily on a post around 8ft off the ground that is shooting between (not over) my garage and porch because it was raining and I could not get on the roof, I will do all that tonight. Tvfool says it needs to be at least 10ft off the ground. I have 50ft of quad shielded outdoor RG6 75ohm line going to the amp, then one two way splitter, one leg is going to the TV over 50ft of RG6 indoor line, the other leg is going 50ft into another splitter (both splitters are -3.5db) that both ends (two tuners) are going into an HDHR network recorder. This is hooked up to Windows7 64bit Final using its H.264 Media Center being viewed over an Xbox 360 on a wired (wireless even N sucks) network. The signal on the network recorder config utility is steady at 80-90% on all my near 28-30mile stations, and 70-80% on 2 stations further out.

Cons: Nothing at all

Other Thoughts: I recorded two HD prime time shows at the same time on my Intel 8300/2g (not the fastest) PC, and WOW! On a 52” screen viewing the shows over the Xbox is unbelievable. I can hardly see any difference in the recorded vs. the live program. My stations are within 10 degrees of each other. This is a directional antenna and that comes into play. . I only need to record the 15 or so shows I like on broadcast TV. Other than that I use Netflix. I really dislike the greed I see from my cable, TxXo, and satellite companies. I hope this in any way helps others in choosing an antenna.

4 out of 5 eggsNot so good for VHF...

Pros: It does well picking up UHF from 45 miles out.

Cons: Only got 2 of 8 available VHF stations.

Other Thoughts: Terk needs to make it clear that VHF channels won't be picked up from the same distance UHF channels will.

4 out of 5 eggsHDTVo from Terk

Pros: When installed as it is meant to be installed, it works great. With a clear line of sight, it picks up stations at 30-40 miles flawlessly.

Cons: If a building primarily constructed of steel and concrete is blocking its view, the signal greatly diminishes. Airplanes tend to disrupt the signals when flying by at low altitude (I am within a 10 minute drive of a regional airport), but that is not the fault of the antenna.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It did work a little. It had a versatile mounting mast. RMA'd for a refund.

Cons: This product did not function very well for me, the best signal strength I could get was about 50%, standing on the roof of my two story house, which is on top of a hill 30 miles from the major TV stations. I got just as good a signal from an old bow tie shaped wire UHF antenna. It is possible that the antenna I received was defective, the fact that it did work a little though made me choose an indoor flat square antenna.

Other Thoughts: The amplifier that came with it, didn't seem to do anything, so I tried an old amplifier that I had which does work, and it didn't make any difference either.

5 out of 5 eggsWow!

Pros: This thing is amazing! Small, works better than rated and easy to install.

Cons: The mounting screws that were supplied had the top half unthreaded. If mounting on roof need to get new screws that are fully threaded so it will grab into roof solid. Only cost me an extra dollar to get.

Other Thoughts: I bought this so I didn't have to pay Dish Network for my locals and get better quality (seems they get their locals from comcast and it gets compressed again). I am in zip code 60041, 43 miles from towers. My area is violet, this was rated at blue but didn't want to install one of those old school big antennas so I thought I would give this one try. This thing found 30 Digital channels! Can almost get CBS 2, but they are switching to a new tower in Feb. All other ch's come in @ 80-100 % on my vip 622 box. I used a compass to get me in the general direction, then did some adjusting after that to get the best signal. I installed it on the top of my garage and then installed the power injector in the attic of the garage (the amp is in the antenna itself). Anyone who says this thing doesnt work must have hooked something up wrong. I made sure to find an area that wasnt blocked by trees or homes. Take your time and buy quality Quad Shield RG6 coax and this thing will treat you well.
