5 out of 5 eggsSweet Power Antenna

Pros: Bought this powered antenna to go off grid from Uverse in Dallas Fort Worth. Checked FCC and Antenna web websites all of our towers are within 25 miles. I hooked this antenna up inside my house and was able to pull all local channels in the area and sub channels for the major networks without issue. I even tucked it behind my LCD TV mounted on the wall and still pulled in stations with no interference.

Cons: Doesn't pull in cable channels! :o(

Other Thoughts: The range for the Antenna stated it was within the green range which I understand to be 30 miles or less. However the manufacturers website places it between 30 and 45 miles and gave it a rating of 35 miles.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing reception!!

Pros: This is an amazing product. Even with the antenna indoors on the second floor of our house, we're able to receive 22 DTV channels, including ones that antennaweb says I don't have a chance of receiving. This is a "green" antenna (supposedly up to 30 mile range) and we're getting strong signals from "red" stations almost 60 miles away - and that's with the thing inside! Can't imagine how well it'll do when we actually mount it outside on the roof!

Cons: Isn't free? :P

Other Thoughts: If you want to get even stronger signal strength, you can purchase the Winegard GS-Wing Sensar upgrade attachment, it's supposed to give you a 100% boost in UHF signal strength (which is what 90% of our DTV channels are.) NewEgg doesn't offer it, but you can find it elsewhere for under $30, and the customer reviews say that it lives up to its expectations too.

4 out of 5 eggs"Green" antenna

Pros: Easy to install, compact design.

Cons: See below.

Other Thoughts: Be aware, as this is not listed anywhere but on the side of the box, this is antenna falls into the "green" classification (see antennaweb.org), meaning it is omni-directional. If your local stations are scattered in several directions, this unit will likely function well for you. In my location of Portland, OR, all the station towers I need are on the same hill 4 miles away, but we are in a densely wooded area in a depression surround by other hills. This unit picks up all the stations, but with fairly low signal strength. A more uni-directional "red" category antenna picks up our stations with much better signal strength. One egg cracked because this isn't listed overtly, but now that I know more about the different designs it's obvious that I should have picked a different antenna for my situation, so it's hard to fault this unit for that.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Nice design, nice price, much more powerful than advertised. Able to bring in stations from all directions. Amazing clarity and definition. Audio reception is second to none. Highly recommended. I have it hooked to a Kworld HDMI digital tuner and a 25.5" ASUS LCD monitor.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: When I looked up the recommended antenna for my area in Pittsburgh, PA, this antenna was not even rated for one channel where I am located due to hills on all sides. I was skeptical since I am only a few miles from several antenna's and I was right, this antenna brings in 19 channels crystal clear with the antenna anywhere inside my apartment. I am sure it will bring in many more channels once installed outside on the roof.

2 out of 5 eggsNeeds line of sight to work

Pros: Lightweight, easy to install

Cons: Didn't pick up DTV signals as expected, likely due to terrain issues with installation location. Line of sight is needed for DTV signal reception, along with a sufficiently high installation above ground.

Other Thoughts: Make sure to do your homework before buying a DTV antenna.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Great!

Pros: This is the best Antenna that I have used! I get the most stations and it is much much smaller than a boom antenna. It is small enough to fit properly in my walking closet. (Measure before you try this)

Cons: So far the only problem I have is it positioning and that is because I live in an apartment so it has to go in a first floor closet.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat antenna!

Pros: Great reception, easy to install, easy to follow instructions. No need for a large aerial!

Cons: None thus far.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this as a backup to my satellite signal and to receive the local secondary weather stations. As a preliminary test I stuck it on top of a TV and after plugging in the amplifier went from zero to perfect reception on most channels indoors - amazing as I live 45 miles as the crow flies to the transmission towers (Dallas area). For final hookup I also purchased the satellite pole which slides directly into the top of a satellite dish mount (no hardware required). I now have clear reception on all my TVs, including ones using the new DTV converter boxes. One note: Do not use anything but bullet connectors between antenna and injection combiner - you will get zero signal. It's ok to split after injector, and instructions give you the type to use.

5 out of 5 eggsSuprisingly powerful

Pros: Directional - yet pulls in from other angles - has bi-directional feature

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I had over 50 feet of cable and split the signal between two TVs. Most VHF signals come from 45 miles away. My address is 102 Garfield St, zip 97520. You can type it in on AntennaWeb.org and see that I have a unique situation. There are many mountains and hills between me and that far away tower. Channel 10 is blocked by a big hill that shadows our town and blocks the line-of-sight. It is an apartment complex of a long building and we are the middle apartment. I put it on the back patio. All the towers were blocked by our 2-story row building, so I doubt if any signals come directly in line-of-sight, especially with our terrain here. The antenna's about 6' from the house and 9' high. We get all major networks, CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS and Fox. All perfect, except CBS (10) as expected, but it is not bad. We get channel 5 with a little herringbone and/or snow, but never got 5 before with rabbit ears. 10 is a bit ghosty as expected, but 10 and 5 should be OK with Digital.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: went from 20% - 60% signal strength to 90% - 100% on all channels. Great performance on both VHF and UHF. Installed in attic. xmtrs are about 30mi out north and south. One is 17mi west. Pointed it a little NW to pick up the station to west. Works great, old setup used to drop out digital channels with bad weather. This is rock solid.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Use antenna selector tool to on Winegard site to help you pick the right model.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent reception at good cost

Pros: Picks up about 15 channels even in my rural area surrounded by trees. Lightweight and reasonably easy to install.

Cons: For best reception it needs to be adjusted to point towards stations that are further away; it's a bit of a pain.

Other Thoughts: Note that it's clear from the product's documentation that this is NOT an indoor antenna and should not be expected to perform well under those conditions.
