4 out of 5 eggsStrong, easy, and good looking.

Pros: I waited a few weeks between setup and this review, to help qualify it.

I mounted a Dell 30" U3014 (also from Newegg) to an average 3/4" table, using the C-type clamp as it came setup right out of the box. Any heavier of a monitor or flimsier of a table and I would have needed to drill a hole in the table for the thru-bolt mounting option (the hardware for that is included, of course). If / when I move I'll probably drill the hole (or get a better table) but the thru-bolt mounting would make this stand faultless for this monitor. My mounting choice, no reflection on the stand.

This monitor is on the outer limit of what this arm will do but is still sufficient as long as you have a strong table surface. Very much recommend it to reclaim your space under your monitor - think about what you could put under your monitor if that stand wasn't there. I push my keyboard and mouse under the monitor when not in use so I can use the space for textbooks / notepads (college student). Will make a small desk bigger...

If I had a smaller monitor I'd bet I could buy an additional section of arm (to make 3 sections) for more reach / movement, if needed.

The unit is quality materials and construction. The metal is polished, and finished nicely. Look in the hospitals or doctor's office next time you go - I've noticed a lot of quality Ergotron stuff there since I've started looking for it. This mount is designed to be actively used for years, and to look good doing it.

I have looked at cheaper arms, but if you're mounting an investment ($1000 for me) monitor, you want to buy quality. This arm will outlast my monitor, and if the next monitor is the same weight (or less), this arm will see service with that one, as well.

The arm comes pre-assembled, with picture instructions and ALL the hardware you will need for different mounting options, and the hardware for attaching the monitor. Very well packaged.

Will, and have, recommended to others and will buy Ergotron again.

Cons: Tried to think of one. Comes with all the tools you need except a Phillips #2.

Other Thoughts: If I had to buy again, I might buy the next size up for my 30" Dell. This stand will hold it just fine, well within my comfort and its design limits, but a 4K monitor in a few years might not cut it. This stand will outlive your monitor.

4 out of 5 eggsSaves my neck and posture

Pros: +Adjustable height and tilt
+Can move in almost all directions
+Solid construction
+attaches easily and securely to the table
+with a good chair, this device can save your posture especially with forward head posture
+monitor arm is very stable as long as secured to a strong table

Cons: -screw on the base arm that allows it to be adjusted for extra height on the mounting rod does loosen with constant movement. So it gradually slides down if you constantly move the monitor. I have to raise the arm and monitor and tighten the screw from time to time.

disclaimer: I have a very low table and move the monitor quite a bit though.

Other Thoughts: Make sure your table is a strong if you choose to clamp it on as the product is relatively weighty.

I also can't comment on the wall mount as I've never had to use it.

All in all it's a solid product and a great buy.

5 out of 5 eggsI LOVVVE IT!

Pros: Lifts my LG 34" 21:9 without issues.
I love not having a base under the monitor so I can put my legs up on the desk, and I have so much more desk space without the base. That was an unexpected benefit... much more usable desk space.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I wish I would have used this on all my computers in the past 30 years.

5 out of 5 eggsHonestly cannot recommend enough

Pros: - Has the necessary parts to mount in a grommet hole. You know that hole in your desk that you probably run cables through? This stand can mount through that hole.
- Holds my 27-inch monitor securely.
- Assembles in 15 minutes (if you're smart) or in an hour (if you're an idiot.)

Cons: I can now view my monitor while reclining in bed, so now my sheets are covered in Mountain Dew, Doritos, and fedoras.

Other Thoughts: Make sure your monitor is VESA-compatible!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Product

Pros: I love these arms! They are easy to install and have rock solid quality. I just installed my third arm - The owner of our company can now use a 23" Dell touch screen and a Surface Pro dock under the screen. Bad mama-jama! These make your old bogus desk look so modern, no one has even noticed that I haven't done any work for two weeks!

Cons: Expensive for an arm with no voice control.

Other Thoughts: I want the next version to have voice commands and 3 modes: Sit, Stand, Attack.

5 out of 5 eggsFANTASTIC Monitor Arm!

Pros: - Super-easy to adjust--up, down, left, right, forward, and back--with very little play to ensure you can get it in that perfect spot and keep it there. Also, full and continuous 360 rotation of the screen (limited only by your monitor cables wrapping around the arm), but if you'd rather you can also put in a screw to lock it to a particular orientation. The extra-tall pole is a must for future-proofing.
- Super-solid metal construction! Holds the monitor rock steady even at full extension and will undoubtedly last for years. Seriously, you could drive nails with this thing and/or use it as a club in a zombie apocalypse. There's a tiny bit of plastic on this thing, but it is purely aesthetic.
- Super-easy tool-less assembly for edge mount! Even comes with thumb screws for the VESA mount! Grommet mount mode is a tad annoying as you have to swap parts on the mount, but this is a matter of removing one screw, swapping a part, and then putting the screw back in. The hard part is you have to look at the instructions to figure out what to do.
- Gentle on the desk! There are rubber pads on the bottom of the top portion of the mount that ensure it won't move and/or scratch the desk surface. The bottom portion is a smoothed piece of metal that the mounting screw runs through to form a clamp; not padded, but since it's tightened with a wingnut it shouldn't do much damage even on the underside of the desk.

Cons: - The arms offer height adjustment of course, but if you want to adjust the height on the pole you need to use a small hex key to loosen/tighten the clamp. I understand they wanted the clamp flush for aesthetics, but I would have preferred a tool-less option.
- The VESA mounting screws that came with the stand are too long for my monitors (QNIX QX2710). Of course, I blame the monitor designer more than ERGOTRON. I just used some washers to fill the extra space and ensure a solid mount.

Other Thoughts: I bought one of these for a second monitor (QNIX QX2710) after enjoying the monitor arm that I bought with my desk. I've now upgraded to 3 monitors (all QNIX QX2710s), and this was so infinitely better than my first monitor's arm that I went ahead and bought 2 more: one for the 3rd monitor and one to replace the 1st monitor's arm.

Love having my monitors on arms! There's so much desk space you lose when using a stand. True, this thing costs half as much as the monitor itself, but it is well worth the investment IMO.

5 out of 5 eggsErgotron Mounting Arm for Flat Panel Display

Pros: -Sturdy
-Looks nice
-Have option to clamp or screw it to your desk
-Can move the monitor around wide range of movements
-Very easy set-up

Cons: -Poor tilt movements doesn't seem to want to go down

Other Thoughts: This is my second product from Ergotron and they do have quality products which look nice ,are sturdy would take a tornado to knock these down will be buying 3 more so I can complete my 4 X 4 Eyefinity set up
I recommend any product Ergotron sells as they are of quality and do what they say they do and they are not cheaply made

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Everything works and is quite sturdy. Not sure how it will perform in the long term though.

Cons: The tilting range is vertical and almost 90 degree up (screen points upwards). I wish it can tilt down, too.
