2 out of 5 eggsBroke in half

Pros: Compact, bright

Cons: Broke in half after a year and a half. It was stored flat in the bottom of my glove box and used infrequently. I would call this an inherent defect because the flashlight broke right where the metal tube that holds the AA battery ends. There are a few threads and they are still embedded in the lens cap that holds the LED bulb.

I can't really glue it because then I wouldn't be able to get the battery compartment open to replace the battery.

No matter how convenient, compact and bright, if the polymer material is not strong enough, or reinforced with metal, to prevent the lens cap from breaking off, it cannot be a good value. I was thinking maybe it had been improved since I ordered it from Newegg on March 27th, 2011. It was never anywhere but in a pocket or in my glove box.

Other Thoughts: Liked it while it lasted. I was able to contact Newegg seller ePal through this webpage and ask about an out of warranty replacement, thinking maybe the product has been improved since I bought one. The response was from Klaus. He said, "We can't help you with your warranty issues, we do carry that flashlight, if you want to purchase a replacement please let us know. Regards."

Obviously "polymer" material is not very durable. For the price, I would be pretty dumb to purchase another of these.

5 out of 5 eggsOuch! That hurts my eyes.

Pros: Very bright. Solid. Compact.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: It came as a freebie in a large order I place with NewEgg. It was a nice "thank you" for my business.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Design

Pros: Good ergonomics
1 AA battery
high output
long battery life
high/low beam

Cons: pricey. got mine for 15 bucks, seems worth it given potential functionality

Other Thoughts: This light, outfitted with a simple rubber band proves to be the most versatile light you could buy.

You could even strap it to your head.

4 out of 5 eggsNice light, small package

Pros: Rugged body, and the slightly triangular body prevents it from rolling as much as your standard aluminum or plastic body pocket flashlight. Good light output, from one AA battery.

Cons: I wish it came in black. Price is kinda high, I got mine free, with the purchase of some RAM a few months ago. I don't think I'd pay $30 for a pocket light.

5 out of 5 eggsSmall but very bright

Pros: Great for when working on pc's or if power goes out.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: price is a bit high, i got this free from ordering something pricey. I wouldn't pay more than 15 - 20 for it.

5 out of 5 eggsCrazy Bright LED Flashlight

Pros: This is a great flash light based on the AA battery. It appears to be rather well sealed making it very weatherproof. It has two brightness settings, a 50 lumen and a 6 lumen. The 50 lumen setting is crazy bright and will light up a room quite well to the extent that I often find myself using the 6 lumen setting to avoid overpowering what ever I'm shining it on.

Cons: None, plus I got it for free with my purchase of RAM!

Other Thoughts: Kind of a crazy skeleton cage design, but it works well. The lens system does an amazing job of focusing the LED light power.
