Pros: It's shiny when you take it out of the box

Cons: Dismal sound, the snap, crackle and pop give Rice Krispies a run for their money. No protection for speaker cones meaning not only are they ripe targets, but the one on top is perfectly positioned to be a dust catcher.

Other Thoughts: I really tried to like this soundbar. I bought during a deep discount sale to replace a Phillips unit that I loved, but ultimately didn't last. Couldn't get it to work with the audio out from the TV, so I used the HDMI pass-thru. The sound, while infinitely better than the TV, is still less than satisfactory and the remote is, well let's just say less than well- thought out.

Altogether a disappointing experience - Now let's see if I can return it.

Cons: Doesn't get super loud
Not 5.1 like sound

Other Thoughts: This sound bar has HDMI pass-thru so all you have to do is hook your device up to the unit's input and then hook the unit up to your tv using its output. If you have more than one HDMI device use a HDMI switch. Most modern devices have HDMI and if they don't you can use the analog jack.

This sound bar is definitely an upgrade to your tv's built-in speakers. Though it is not 5.1 sound it is quite clear and plays fairly loud. I got if for my sister's 32" Samsung tv and it works great with her HDMI DVD play and Apple TV.

$179 is a bit steep for this type of sound bar. If you can get it closer to $130 go for it. Or get the refurb for $100 like I did. :)

Pros: Fits perfectly with the Samsung S27A950D computer monitor. Not too big, fits below the screen, has an auxillary input, and the sound quality is pretty good.

Cons: Not a fault by Samsung, if you use this on your computer desk sometimes it will mess with your mouse controls because the built in subwoofer shakes the mouse a bit. Not a huge deal and really my own doing.

Other Thoughts: I have an Asus Xonar Soundcard so the sound quality is quite good. If you're looking for the best, high end speakers: these aren't them. These are a great option when space is crucial and you still want some quality sound.

I play BF3 and CoD:BO2 with these speakers and the sound is never muddled and the sounds are never hard to identify.

Pros: Affordable and probably would be just fine for folks with older TV's with analog audio outputs.

Cons: Does not work with my Samsung TV with digital only outputs.

Other Thoughts: Not sure why they did inlude digital inputs with speakers.
