1 out of 5 eggsFire Hazard

Pros: Accurately measures electricity usage (it seems). I measured a 7 watt LED bulb at 6.5-6.8 watts.

Cons: Its a fire hazard. Above 1000 watts, this device starts melting. I left it running in the background, plugged into a PC draining over 1000 watts, and the plastic around the three-prong plug started melting. I figured I'd give it another shot, but sure enough, the device fried after 24 hours. It also previously fried a surge protector I've had for years.

Other Thoughts: I remember reading a review in which a P3 device caught fire. Given my experience, and the reviews I've read in the past, I would not buy another one. Regret not going with Belkin instead.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: - Accurate. Found out that my computer, powered by a 750W power supply, was drawing 250W running at 100% load on CPU and GPU, and only 130W when idle. That's good news if you ask me.
- Cheap. I paid a little over a Jackson for mine, and if its used right it'll save you many more.
- Easy to read display. The display is the equivalent to about 48pt font on paper.
- So much more. I love it.

Cons: - Bulky. Might as well buy it with a power strip, as if you plug it into a normal 2-outlet receptacle it will cover both.
- Terrible viewing angle on LCD. I have this plugged into a power strip on the floor and from my desk (above it, at a high angle) I can barely decipher the reading.

Other Thoughts: Buy this, even if it seems like something you'll never use, its come in handy so many times and i've only owned it for a day.

Only 1 outlet. If it had a second outlet built in (so it was a 1 to 2 splitter and still had the display, that would make it easier to read the draw on a normal computer with monitor.

3 out of 5 eggsDoes its job but....

Pros: Does its job.
Calculates daily/weekly/yearly cost which is nice.

Cons: It takes a whole double receptacle, so you cant use anything else.
Kind of a brain dead design.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent meter

Pros: This meter has a lot of useful features and retains its memory for quite a while when it's not plugged in. Can enter cost per kilowatt hour for calculating short term and estimating long term costs of individual appliances. Realtime display of usage in different units of power such as wattage and amperage.

Cons: Display is hard to view from the top when vertical

5 out of 5 eggsHandy, Revealing

Pros: The P4460 presents useful and accurate information about electricity usage. Details household current and volts also. Easy settings for determining cost of use over long periods.

Cons: Not backlit but that's fine, I just use a flashlight for the brief time I check the display.
covers both plugs, but will use an extension cord if it becomes a problem.
No loss of points for what I knew going in.

Other Thoughts: Fantastic bargain Shell Shocker deal @ 24 w/ free ship!

Pros: I DIDN'T BUY THIS FROM NEWEGG BUT IT IS A GOOD PRODUCT AND ITS VERY USEFUL

Cons: ITS COVERS 2 PLUGS AND THE SCREEN IS HARD TO READ IF YOU ARE NOT DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF IT

Other Thoughts: IF YOU HAVE A PC TAHT WAS CUSTOM BUILT THIS TOOL IS PERFECT SO YOU CAN SEE YOU REALTIME POWER USAGE AND SO THEIR IS NO GUESSING IF YOU WANT TO ADD A NEW GPU OR HIGH END CPU WITH OUT OVER WATTAGE

4 out of 5 eggsUseful tool but too expensive and a bit too single minded

Pros: Does what it's designed to do well, but...

Cons: ...it is about $20-$30 too expensive if that's all it does, and...

Other Thoughts: ...P3I needs to combine the functionality of the 4400 in with this 4460 so you can look at real-time "snap shots" as well as cumulative usage.

4 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Works like its supposed to. Measures many different units. Great for keeping track of electricity usage or making sure you don't overdraw on a circuit. Seems to work pretty much the same as the cheaper model, except saves measurement data even without power.

Cons: Covers 2 plugs, even though it only uses 1. The screen is also kind of hard to read without extra light, a flashlight is a good suggestion (but obviously annoying).

Other Thoughts: Does what I need it to do, even if I need a flashlight to read it. I don't see anything any better available.

3 out of 5 eggsAwesome but screen hard to read

Pros: Does what it says it does!

Cons: Screen is really hard to read if not in plain view. Get a flashlight or do what some people suggest and get an extension cord.

Other Thoughts: Would be awesome if you could connect this to wifi or network and view settings in a web browser!!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works as avertised, saves usage data even if you unplug

Cons: No backlight, covers two outlets, the built in socket is reeeeally tight

Other Thoughts: Everything that I plugged into this device was rather difficult to unplug. Thinking about buying a couple of short extension cords
