4 out of 5 eggsVery Good for Home Theater

Pros: The tractix tweeter is amazing. Very good dispersion of the sound field. Voices are clearly articulated in music and movies. Frontally slim, attractive towers. Does not require much power. With about .75 watt applied, these speakers produce a sound field indistinguishable from a theater.

Cons: Deficient in ranges below speech. This applies when I listen to music. The mid to upper bass range is not balanced to the output of the tweeter. Therefore, I now understand others comments of "bright". I have these speakers paired with the Klipsch RW-12D subwoofer(which is amazing). When I play most music, the virtual "hole" in mid-bass reproduction is very apparent.

Other Thoughts: In all fairness: (1) all music is not recorded in a equally balanced fashion, but subjective to equipment, the sound engineer and the space interactions where recorded. (2) Most of the music I listen to is from my ipod, which is digital, but sources vary. My system is in an apartment room which is not rectangular.

5 out of 5 eggsFilled out the sound

Pros: Great sound. Clean when loud and soft. Small enough foot print.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Got these on special with 40% off coupon after purchasing other items. I already had the HD-500 speakers so these allowed those to be surround only really making the system complete. While I might not have purchased them at full price they would certainly be worth the price. At 40% off they were more than worth it!

5 out of 5 eggsUnreal speakers!!

Pros: I am by no means a home theater audiophile snob, but I have been dealing with audio equipment for quite a while. This has been my first jump into the "big time" home-theater game. I did TONS of research before I bought these, the deal that Newegg had made it a little easier for me to jump the gun.

Anyways--I wanted to give these speakers a full run around before I posted a review. My personal impression, these speakers are AWESOME!! I have these paired with a Yamaha RX-V667 (part of the combo) and they sound amazing.

Listening to Pink Floyd (Dark side of the moon), with these speakers is an experience I've never had before. The horns, strings, bass, voices are all perfect. It sounds like I'm in the studio. Drums and horns sound especially great (Dave Matthews was a good test).

I watched Lord of the Rings and Dark Knight on these. I was very impressed with these, even without a sub woofer. Sometimes when i've been at friends houses with surround systems and I have not ..cont

Cons: Honestly, I cant think of one. The only thing is price, but there are plenty of deals going so you can find a steal every once in a while.

Other Thoughts: ...been thoroughly impressed. Probably because they spent as much on their whole system as one of these speakers cost...

Don't be afraid of the price-tag on these speakers. They are built with exceptional quality and sound great. If you want something that will bring your home theater to the next level; these will do it.
