Pros: Owned for about 3 weeks now and I am completely satisfied! A must buy at such a low price, great sound and the subwoofer is beast.

Pros: Great price. Great sound imaging. I have a Yamaha RX-A1010 powering them as a 2nd zone audio setup, and they provide fantastic full sound for my smaller living room. Great price for the tone and performance purchased. From my experience, it would take several hundred dollars more to find anything to compete with these little gems for quality. Great buy.

Cons: Some of the earliest models of the sub provided with this set had a recall on them, as they could overheat and cause a fire. I can't imagine anymore remain in the production/warehouse line or inventory, but it would still behoove you to check your serial number against the recall. As I said, only a very few early runs of the subs were recalled, but it would be better to check than have your house burn down and wish that you had. If you do by a bizarre twist of fate happen to receive one of the recalled subs, simply request from Martin Logan an upgrade kit, and yours will be fixed for free. Easy breezy. Don't let this scare you from these fantastic speakers, they are gems, for hundreds less than anything comparable.

Other Thoughts: I loved these speakers so much, I purchased a set for my father and another for my brother as gifts, and they are both enjoying them as well. I can't say enough good things about these speakers, they're fantastic, and seriously (regrettably for me) for hundreds less than what I have paid for lower performing speaker surround sets in the past.

Pros: This is an excellent home theater system for the price.
All the surround speakers have 'screw' wire connections; not the cheap spring plastic ones break easily.

Cons: Subwoofer is a little weak but still packs a a good punch.... might not be enough for some.

Pros: Brought these in to replace the rather large speakers in our bedroom and make the wife happy. Turned out she had developed an affinity for that system so the MLs sat in their box for months. When Newegg offerred the Pioneer 821 receiver for less than $160, I set up a new system in the guest room. Big Surprise! Even the sub is very musical and has a very balanced "thump" working well with the set.

Cons: It's all good so far.

Pros: Great sound, for the size. Don't expect room thumping bass, but these deliver clear, crisp and accurate sound in a small(ish) room. Added a pair of Polk's (from here of course) for my fronts and went with a 7.1 setup. Sounds amazing at normal volumes.

Cons: MartinLogan's warranty card must be returned within the briefest of periods else the warranty is void. Don't forget to return the card or you will be up the creek without a paddle. Don't let these sit in box for a while to give as a gift (even if it's to yourself).

Found this policy to be quite low brow and was cause for great concern... why would a quality shop put such a 'gottcha' on their warranty? Found myself waiting for the sub to blow, or a speaker to start cracking.

90 day warranty unless you send in your card. 3 & 5 years otherwise. This kind of behavior is borderline bait and switch and should be illegal. If you advertise a 3 year warranty, you should honer your word, not make me jump through hoops to achieve your promise.

Other Thoughts: Been a year and the speakers are doing fine. Keeping fingers crossed. Will most likely never buy MartinLogan's again... While the speakers are quality and as advertised, the company must be run by bankers or lawyers.

Pros: These speakers should be called the "Nitro" series because the sound you get out of these small speakers is HUGE! I also own the MLT-2's. I bought a set of these for my son also. I am hooked for life. We had a Bose Lifestyles system where these MLT-1s are now and they are so far and above the Bose system I can hardly believe it. The clarity and sound reproduction is simply stunning. I paired all three sets with a Pioneer Receiver. Couldn't be happier!

Cons: None at all. Unreal speakers at an unreal sales price.

Pros: I got these speakers today and let me tell you, what a set. They are very clear and play loud. Looks great with my Samsung 55" LED. I have read some reviews about these speakers and decided to get em. No regrets here!! NEWEGG, keep up the good work. Ordered speakers and three days later UPS was bringing them. Nothing broken, all perfect. Thanks again for a great product along with a great price. This replaced a Bose V20 system and thank heavens, I did.
