5 out of 5 eggsThank You Slider!

Pros: Above average quality. Easy to use.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Thanks to Slider for the recommendation.
I am glad I bought them. Never thought bird watching in my back yard would be entertaining on a beautiful spring morning. But, these binoculars make it easy to do! I love them!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat binoculars.

Pros: Great magnification, amazing depth of field, visible under poor lighting like shade and comes with a mount and tripod for stability.

Cons: Heavy, but good optics are heavy. Using them for any length of time will tire you out and start shaking unless you use the mount. Not good for sports or where you have a lot of moving around. No eggs off for this because that is what they are.

Other Thoughts: I got these for looking at distances to try and spot wiring problems without going up the building and it works good for that. 15x is too strong for sports but great for what I'm using them for.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than Great! Perfect Power!

Pros: I've been observing through telescopes and binoculars most of my very long life. These Barska (Russian) binos are simply the best possible buy on earth. Buy them for this ridiculous low price. You won't be disappointed! I bought them from another dealer for a much higher price, and I am very happy with the price and performance.

Cons: A little large and heavy, but you can't achieve light grasp without large objectives. And light grasp increases resolution (image sharpness).

Other Thoughts: Trust me, you don't want those variable power (say 10-140 power) binos that are offered to ignorant buyers. Power is near meaningless. And, at 140 power you have no exit pupil and no field-of-view. You can't see anything. Don't believe me - try it.

You need to match the human eye's exit pupil (around 5mm) to the eyepiece's field of view. So, do the math. A 70mm objective bino with a power/magnification of 15x gives you an exit pupil of 4.7mm. A near perfect exit pupil!
