5 out of 5 eggsWow!

Pros: Did some heavy research before jumping into this purchase and I am very glad I did! I was looking at the lower models of the LG TVs and was a little disappointed when the reviews were full of blobs and blurs on the screen and not to mention the remote.

I read the other review on here, did some online digging and there are videos on YouTube if you want to see this thing in action, but let me just TRY to explain the quality put into this TV ...

The picture is hands down amazing in HD. You can adjust the picture in just about any way imaginable with customization settings and also can adjust the 3D picture for offset seats.

The 3D picture is really amazing and gives a large depth perception on any film you want to watch! You also get plenty of glasses to share with friends and family. The picture doesn't quiet pop out, but more of sinks in and you get an idea of depth. It takes a few moments for the eyes to adjust, but after they do, you could wear them for hours and not notice.

The remote! I have found myself more and more in love with this thing. I read that the previous model was terrible and made me a bit nervous about diving into this one, but have no regrets as this thing is easy! It feels like a wii remote, moves like a wii remote, but has a full keyboard on the back side. The minimal button approach on the top of the remote is something that me and my wife thoroughly enjoy as we hate the cluttered look of most newer remotes. The speak to search is also an AMAZING idea and works flawless thus far. And besides, if you don't like or can't get use to the wii type of mouse movement, the arrow keys on the front or back of the remote work fine with navigating through the menus. Also, you don't have to have the remote directly facing the tv for it to work which is amazing. If you lose the mouse on screen, just a shake of the remote will center the mouse and you are back to it!

There are so many inputs on the back of this tv that if you won't have any trouble hooking up everything you need. Comes with an audio/video converter for those older dvd players.

I am a large techno geek so I have my tv hooked to my wireless which is downstairs and the tv always has a great connection to it. I love the integration of Netflix and Google TV. You can also download plenty of Android apps from the integrated app store. I am a huge internet geek and the ability to watch YouTube videos and search the internet without leaving the comfort of my bed is a HUGE plus!

I would strongly recommend this TV to anyone in the market for a quality TV that is aimed for high quality picture, internet integration, and 3D graphics.

Cons: The only downside that I have come across is that the speakers aren't of the greatest quality. They get loud, but the quality isn't there. I would NOT take away an egg for this as because the TV is so thin to begin with and any sound guru is going to have their own sound system anyways, that it would be stupid to be upset over this.

Again, they get loud, and you can hear this tv from the other side of the house, just the quality isn't superb. Maybe an 8/10.

Other Thoughts: You make pay a little more for this TV, but I've done a lot of research and found this to be absolutely worth every penny you spend on it. The TV even looks amazing when not even turned on.

5 out of 5 eggsLG 47G2 Google TV

Pros: This really is an excellent tv. Right out of the box, the picture was great. Within the system menu options are a vast amount of adjustments, offering an ability to change any type of setting that can be desired. In fact, it offers more options than than I have seen on any other tv.

The remote offers mouse like abilities, similar to any desktop computer. This makes selecting different areas of the screen a breeze. The mouse also includes a scroll wheel, used as the OK button. This can make changing channels very simple.

The original setup of the tv is a very simple matter. All available channels were found quickly, along with my wireless signal. The tv was up and running in less than 5 minutes. In fact, I gained a few channels that were not available previously.

The sound of this tv is excellent as well. The inclusion of what I think is SRS, the sound environment expands well past the normal range of common tv's.

As a note to people who are concerned with the 3D upconversion, it seems to work very well. I have watched several sporting events, along with other things, and was very impressed. Several options are available to alter the 3D experience to suit the needs of your environment, including some sound options.

Cons: While all LG devices seem to have a slight yellow bias, it in no way effects the picture quality. In fact I find that it greatly helps with the washed out whites common on other tvs of this nature. This a very minor issue and should not be a concern when making a purchase.

The remote could be a bit more impressive if the front were a bit more like a common tv remote. The number pad is on the back of the remote, and rather small. This can be an issue in a dark room. Also, the back button seems to work well for everything except as a previous channel button. If using a cable box however, this is not a concern.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I am very happy with this tv. Aside from the minor remote concerns, I have been able to adjust this tv to work perfectly for my environment.
