1 out of 5 eggsless than impressed

Pros: 5 year warranty

Cons: having to use the warranty in less than a year with limited use,

having to pay shipping to get it to Cuisinart,

being told the replacement unit is on "backorder" & they have no idea on when my replacement will arrive

Other Thoughts: I bought 2 of these machines, 1 for the office & 1 for home. The one for home which was used on soft water was the one that failed

5 out of 5 eggsHappy

Pros: Bought this for the black friday deal and have been very pleased. I purchased this one based on price at the time and the 3 year warranty. I bought my sister a Keurig a few Christmases ago and it died just after a year. So when it came time for me to purchase a unit I wanted something with a longer warranty.

The machine looks nice sitting on the counter and has not had any issues.

Cons: Not all of the finished are metal, some plastic here and there but it still looks nice.

Only had it for 3 months so I can't comment on how long it will last.

Other Thoughts: It came with the coffee filter insert which was really nice. I didn't realize this when I ordered it so that saved me another $10. It has a side compartment in the machine to hold the coffee filter too!

1 out of 5 eggsThey break, then the replacements break

Pros: Works as advertised... until it doesn't

Cons: Unit arrived leaking out the bottom.
Cuisinart charged $30 to replace it with a unit that stopped working after a month.
Cuisinart replaced that unit (for free, but only because we complained about having to pay again) with a third that lasted about 4 months before it died.
Cuisinart will no longer replace dead units since the warranty has run out.

Other Thoughts: On my final call with Cuisinart, they admitted that they hear far more complaints about refurbished units. We are 3/3 for units that don't even last 6 months (with light use). I would strongly suggest you stay away from these.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: quick and convenient
service size adjustability

Cons: Have had for almost exactly 2 years, pump is starting to get rather noisy and sometimes is an once or so short, guessing it will be failing sometime in the near future

Other Thoughts: Its no french press but with the right kcups it'll make a decent cup of coffee

1 out of 5 eggsJunk, no warranty after 30 days

Pros: Great features, if it would pump. Died after about a month, you have to constantly remove and replace the tank to get it to pump.

Cons: This is a known issue, but Cusineart will not honor the warranty if purchased from Newegg. So 30 days is all you get, and at some point, it will most likely stop pumping.

I bought mine as a gift for my wife, so the warranty was up well before I gave it to her. Now it stops pumping every day or so.

I will never buy Cuisineart again, and probably will not but any other small appliance from Newegg.

I have always had good luck with Newegg customer service, but this experience disappoints me. I spend about $10,000 a year with Newegg, maybe it's time to look into using my distributors instead. Service and ease of use is why I used Newegg instead.

3 out of 5 eggsRick (Update from last post)

Pros: See review before about pump failing.

Cons: I first tried the online email help center. DO NOT USE THE ONLINE / EMAIL SUPPORT. When I called their help line the first time they were unable to help me but told me to do vinegar and water mixes to repair the pump. It's clear to me the pump is shot, there is a check valve in the line or the pump rather would pump out into the tank. The 2nd day I called, I explained everything and for 10 dollars they agreed to send me a new one and then I have to return this bad one. (not sure if a preprinted label will be provided or not)

Other Thoughts: Overall I like the unit but the 3 year warranty was a big draw for me when I got it. It appears talking to the support people are the only way to go. Knock on wood when I get the new unit (they said 7-10 days) we will hopefully be back up and running.

1 out of 5 eggsNewegg is not approved by Cuisinart to offer a warranty

Pros: Works great while it lasts. comes with a 3 year warranty but anyone buying from newegg will find cuisinart will not honor it.

Cons: The warranty is not honored by Cuisinart when bought from Newegg. Newegg confirmed they only give a 30 day warranty. Buyer beware.

Other Thoughts: Pump fails, stops making coffee. The relief system would rather pump the water back into the tank than make coffee. I think most of these machines are defective but for what they cost I expect more.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far, so good...

Pros: I have owned this machine for about 4 months now and I love it! No problems so far and with 3 adults who all wake up at different times, being able to make individual cups of coffee is great! The machine is very quiet and once turned on, it takes about 30 seconds to a minute for it to be ready for brew. The reservoir is huge and with normal use(2-3 cups a day), needs refill about every 5 days. This also comes with everything you need- coffee scoop, single-cup filter for your own coffee AND a 12 pack sampler pack. The bottom tray is also removable so you can fit tall travel mugs. Now for all the problems with the pump people seem to be having? As I said, so far so good for me. I did do a "descale" just recently with vinegar and did run into one problem- my machine did not work properly afterwards! It was taking longer to make a cup of coffee AND it was only putting out about half the amount it was supposed to. It turned out to be a simple solution- I unplugged it for about 30 seconds and it worked fine again and has been ever since. Now why that worked I have no clue!
So after 4 months, I can honestly say this is a great machine. And now it appears there are more K-cup flavors coming out. Gevalia has just come out with a Caramel Macchiato cappucino which is a GREAT step forward! That is what I loved about my other single-serve machine(rhymes with Bossimo)- the cappucinos! I will update in a few months or if anything goes wrong with this machine.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: After only 4 months of ownership, it's hard to comment on the durability of this machine. But at this point, I love the ability to brew single cups of coffee and not have a whole pot of coffee go bad because we all wake up at different times of the morning.
And the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because this thing doesn't make cappucinos!!! But, as I stated in the "pros" section, that may be changing!

2 out of 5 eggsLasted about 18 months then pump starts to fail

Pros: One of the nicest models on the market. Appears to still be a model offered by Cuisinart which for 2 years you don't see typically the same model being available. 3 year warranty it appears is a big plus as these units are not capable of living that long

Cons: Pump wears out. Starts to only pump about 50% of what you ask for, it's clear the pump is failing, now trying to go through Cuisinart and get resolution. I like the unit, use it every day probably for 3-4 cups. I'm not sure what it's rated for but I would think this would be normal wear and tear on a k-cup machine

Other Thoughts: We'll see what the warranty comes of it. Based on other reviews this pump issue is very common and for 200 dollars (which is what I paid even 18 months ago) it should be better manufactured. Seriously I find it sad that the quality of parts of Cuisinart would be so that I would have a failing unit like this.
